I remember a few years ago (maybe less, maybe a couple) this site was for people who "hated" $tarbucks. Not for actual customers of the franchise nor for happy employees of the place who like to know they can wear brown shoes.

A literary reference(dated, I'll give you that,)but I guess I shouldn't expect anyone that misinterprets the theme of the website to be able to progress any farther. Spelling mistake? Sure you got me, but at least I have comprehension, a skill you should have picked up in the 2nd grade.
At what point did it cross your collective minds that the website was for "baristas" who enjoy working at starbucks, and biggest gripe is that the old baristas aren't cool like you or what a tingily feeling you guys get when a famous person orders a triple white mocha pretentious latte.

The huge mistake you are making in your senseless ranting is thinking that anyone here likes or respects Starbucks in the slightest degree, or enjoys working for the company, or thinks they have good coffee.
The only happy stuff you will see about Starbucks is people talking about how they can make their lives slightly more bearable because at the current moment due to financial reasons they are incapable of simply walking out the **** door and have to grin and bear it for awhile longer.
If you read threads such as "things to do if you are quitting/think you are being axed" I don't think you will believe this site is inhabited by happy little employees. Hell someone who people thought was a Starbucks apologist recently admitted that he hates the bux, and his name is ILoveSBUX.
Your problem is that you came in, read just a few posts, came up with an idea that was nowhere near the truth, stupidly misspelled a common literary reference and when someone called you out on your poor spelling you tried to deflect the attack by claiming that they didn't get the reference. You don't know what you are talking about at all, does every single post have to be full of hate? I hate SBux, I don't think our drip coffee is very good, I can't stand the customers, corporate and mission statements and my managers drive me up the wall. But for financial reasons I am stuck with them for the moment, so maybe sometimes I have to think of a couple brightsides so every moment I am there is not complete misery.

Any valid or intelligent point or statment you try to make is void and irrelevant when you misspell a very basic word not once, but TWICE! Secondly, you are not even making a valid or intelligent point in the first place. You haven't "called me out" on anything. I have read Alice and Wonderland, but I would not expect anyone who would misspell the simple word CURIOUS to be making any reference to anything literary.
If you actually had anything intelligent to offer to conversation on this bulletin board you would have started a completely different topic other than bitching about everyone else.
Honestly, just compare the old post to the new ones; a world of difference in the tone and the topics discussed. The majority of the the rants in the new guest book are about how much you guys hate the customers. No, not every single post has to be full of hate, but looking at the **** web site name! It is I hate starbucks. Still, with all your well thought out rebuttals the only thing that is addressed is that I misspelled a word not one, but twice and that i should go **** myself.
I know a good 99% of you would rather not be working there. I get that. Service industry jobs suck all sorts of ****, and it is shame that people are forced to make that their career for the time being. But, it still doesn't mitigate the fact that the site was for people that did not like the companies practice because of their labor practices in and out of the store and the ubiquity of the their locations.
I never claimed to offer an insightful comment, rather I pointed out the obvious. The tone and mission of the website (or at least it's comments) have changed to a point where it the language has collapsed on itself. The site no longer reflects what the content is.

Oh the DM's and the SM's!!--boo-hoo. Want to change your company--try a union. Or better yet, become one of the SM's or DM's and remember where you came from. Use this site to help organize one (I see that some of you had, but not anyone on responding to this thread) or expose the malpractices of your particular store or company. I was part of an organization that tried to get Starbucks out of our town. It involved picketing, attending town councils, and pointing out all the negatives a store like Starbucks brings to a community. They moved in anyways, but hey at least I played a hand. But what's the point, right? No, it is far better to use the energy coming up with clever coffee related handles and making sure the DM's or SM's don't write you up for having too many piercings.

The company sucks most definitely, but there are better and more important battles out there. Especially in the wake of the tragic unemployment level, you would think that you would want the extra jobs in your area. Yes I agree with taichilatte the jobs in this market are so scarce that I am sure there are many people that work at Starbucks and many other publicly hated companies to get their paycheck everyday. It is sad but true, most people in this world do not have the privilege to work in a place that they love or enjoy doing what they do, and for that very reason it is called a JOB.I don't think that the people that post here love Starbucks by any means, we all have different levels of hate that matures into a putrid hatred with age ha ha, but really we are all in different situations and have the right to hate or not hate as much as we want to. So for that very reason all the posts on this site have a direct connection to the name of the site we are all just posting what one thing or another we hate about starbucks TODAY. Tomorrow we may hate something else about it.

Yes, real waste of time to stand up for a cause. It is the apathy that allows these companies to grow and then become the only place to get a job. Yes, extra jobs in the area, no matter the cost.Much better to only have jobs form 3 very large companies than hundreds for smaller ones. That way it will really push corporations to raise the bar for better pay and benefits because of all the competition. Not to mention the gentrifying and watering down of anything unique. Perhaps, Your right, efforts should be focused on far sexier international causes than ones in our own country. How foolish of me to go to a site that was originated to point out the flaws of the corporation (and that corporate model) and not expect to read post after post of whiny employees complaining for the most part about ordering styles of customers or how gross homeless people are.
Just take some time and don't jump right to the log book next time, but read the information on the main page. Maybe, you'll remember why you came to the site in the first place, maybe not.

this whole website is about the vast majority of us hating starbucks as it features in our daily lives. its the dumb "just say yes" policy, constant humiliation from customers and how to get revenge. besides, if you're this opposed to "change" on something as insignificant as a website, i suggest you go and hide under a blanket in a basement for a very long time.

Actually, I was referring to causes in our own country that are a lot more worthy to fight against than the big bad old fortune 500. Why wouldnt you spend time fighting for rights of seniors, wounded war veterans or maybe habitat for humanity? Why choose a useless battle where, even if you did win you would barely dent the surface of this company. They would open another store a mile outside of your city limits. As idealistic and wonderful as it sounds that if you were to drive starbucks away, mom and pop shops would just pop up everywhere, People are way too scared to open new businesses right now unfortunately.
