Iced venti cup of breve, light ice. I witnessed her sucking it down on her way out.
F-cking seriously????

This has been my favorite thread for ages but the coffee cake thing has me absolutely speechless.
Venti CF with 4 M, 4 WM (From hotbar), 5 TN, 2 FR, 3 Pro, triple blended, in a trenta, light whip with light mocha drizzle.
Oh yeah, I became her favorite drink maker.
Maybe not a terrible drink but still frustrating as ****. I work at a target starbucks and an old lady who appeared to be nice came in an ordered a tall chai. So I ring her up and begin to make her drink. At our store the chai pump is like broken an comes out weird, so as I'm making it she is watching very intensely practically leaning over the counter. So i pump the chai and shes like "uhh that didnt come out right, could you start over", and I say sure no problem. So I redo it and I put in three pumps and shes like "actually a tall is suppose to have four pumps" and I say "actually ma'am its three" and she says " they always make it with four, so you will too" and I say "ok" but in my head I'm thinking **** say something else about how I make your drink. So im steaming her milk and she says that im not aerating it correctly and I actually said " Ma'am would you like to make your own drink?" needless to say she didnt say anything after that..and I haven't seen her since. Power to the Barista!!
I think my worst drink is from a guy who says one thing to the partner at the register and then turns around and dictates add-ons to his drink to the partner at the bar. His latest order is two Venti Hot Chocolates, ICED, but with no ice (yeah really), and extra whipped cream. Now, to the barista making the drink he asks for full pumps of Toffee Nut as well as extra, extra caramel in the cup and on the whip. What he wanted was a Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate but knows that we charge for the extra caramel and the extra syrup too. He'd hover and watch the barista like a hawk, dictating the making of the drink the ENTIRE way through the process, repeating what he wanted over and over again. We got wise to his scheme pretty fast. He started getting charged for the extras. The last time I made his drinks he was working on every last nerve I had, but since I was the shift on duty, I kept a smile on my face and made his drink the way I wanted to make it. He dictated to me everything, but still I did what I wanted to do, distracting him with my banter. He persisted with his dictation until I couldn't take it any more and told him nicely and in a joking tone that I knew what he wanted and I got it, no worries. The extra caramel part was the biggest thorn in my side (always is because 95% of our customers ask for extra caramel in their drinks and we can't cut the tips off so slow drizzles come out). More! He wanted more! Really? Half the bottle that I've poured out isn't good enough? Still joking and laughing I put the drinks lidded in front of him and he asked for even more caramel. I told him I put a ton of it in under the whipped cream and he was set. After a wary look to me he smiled, I made a joke, he laughed and took his drinks and left. Now imagine this same guy with the Treat Receipts. He orders these drinks as Grande Iced and he wants them in Venti cups filled to the top. No, we don't give him the drinks filled to the top, especially with no ice. But it's never an easy go with him. Oh, boy he's such a FUN customer!
Iced grande caramel macchiato, lots of caramel sauce, 2 sweet and low, 1 pump of vanilla, shots, milk to the first line, ice to the second line, whipped cream, more caramel, and a flat lid. I swear it made me nervous that this woman was driving because I think she was always drunk... If she happened to see who was making her drink (she came through the drive thru) and she didn't know them, we knew that she was going to say it was wrong. Sometimes she came in with her sister and some dumba$$ told them about afogado shots and so her sister's caramel frappuccino had extra extra caramel, one shot blended in, one afogado, and extra caramel on top. Which would melt into the shot, of course. She came into my new store a few months ago and instead of marking the cup I just told the girl on bar how to make it so that she could hear me... figured at least that way she wouldn't complain. It's crazy that people think they can get away with this stuff because we have to just say yes...
A grande in a venti breve 180 no foam latte with crema on top....if you order soy or breve your going to have FOAM! In fact if you don't want foam order it ICED!! problem solved. My other favorite is a grande in a venti pike with steamed 2%milk to the top but doesn't want to be charged for a misto. Throws a fit if charged for it. Good thing he nvr gets a receipt bc I carry on conversation with him charge for a venti misto and swipe his card =) he never knows the difference. Not to mention his eyes are never looking above my chest!
Venti Espresso frap with sf vanilla and sf hazelnut, 1/4 of a spoodle of espresso beans blended in 4 shots of espresso and 2.5 scoops of java chips. This lady also hits on me, and told me she just likes to stare at me. (I am a girl too...)
This woman comes in everyday and orders an iced tall coffee of the day. So she will come in and say an iced Verona or an iced caffe estima. I'd rather just giver her the coffee than explain that we only brew one type of coffee.
THe worse was last semester when a girl comes in and orders a Cappuchino...and I look at her and I am like awesome and took her order and asked her if she knows what a cappuchino is..
she says.." no, but it sounds pretty..does it comes with whip cream?
I reply..in a blank stare no, but I can have the barista put whip on it
she then gets her drink and replies...oh I thought this was a blended drink...
I go no a cappuchino is a hot drink with foam and that we can also make it iced...so then she says yes make it iced
and I have the barista re-make it, and she says can you sweeten it...so then the Barista remakes it again kind of frustrated because there is a line out the door during mid-term weeks at 10pm...and then she just asks the barista just to remake it, but hot this time and with mocha and whip cream so the barista remakes it and she finally leaves
now there's like 40 cups at the bar..I swear there needs to be a seminar for the customers on how to order...I mean ordering something because it sounds pretty my goodness.
honestly, i posted a whole thread about her but my 47 scooped GRTL customer. unfuckingbelievable.
dude seriously if someone ordered 47 scooped GRTL i would charge her for every extra scoop..my store is licensed so we charge extra for excessive amounts if she came to my store I would make that drink 30 bucks not even kidding thats so ridicolous and she needs to pay for your labor and of course product...matcha is not cheap either
venti ice coffee with no milk just ice and 9 pumps of peppermint
@sbux310 i work at a licensed store too and i was able to charge her up to almost $11. and that's all it would let me add. it should've cost at least $20 lol
The worst drink i have ever made is for this one customer at my old store. A Grande caramel frap. with a venti scoop of ice, then in a venti cup ring it with caramel sauce, then about an inch on the bottom, then on the second blend of the drink add frap chips. When its finally done blending it is so think you have to scoop it out with a spoon. So then you have to fill the cup up half way, add whip and caramel then fill it rest of the way and more whip and caramel on top. If it isnt made right, he has you make it again until it is to his standard. He has no life either. He told us he work from 6am to 2am everyday. like seriously?!
Oh man I feel for you @therealbarista
In the summers we use to have some tourists that visited every year and always wanted tall GTF with venti scoops of ice and one pump of base. double blended. Im like.. seriously who would drink something like that it had no taste at all. She also wanted it unsweetened. It was a hell to get out of the blender.
I had someone, recently try to order "a Grande Carmel Breve". I looked at her in Confusion...and then she replies, "every Starbucks know's what that is, its Grande Carmel Breve"...I say "uhhh what"...then her friend yells, "its a Carmel Iced Coffee with Breve"..I respond "ok I can do that". It was so funny I don't know if I wanna say the customer is stupid or maybe they just didn't understand what they were ordering.
"Half-caf, non-fat, no foam, 2 pumps vanilla." And then she just stares at me like "why aren't you either writing this down or ringing it up?"
