So I started working at a Starbucks in an upscale mall with snobby white people. Never in my life have i ever had such weird requests. The other day i was "floating" or standing next to the coffie machines and waiting for the people on register to tell me what the customer wants like a "tall Pike Roast" or something or other. This middle Aged woman was next and she asked for a cup of hot water. So i took a tall cup and started filling it with hot water. When the cup was about 3/4 full the lady says " oh excuse me? can you put ice in that?". I stopped and starred blankly at the lady, in the back of my head thinking *why did you ask for a cup of HOT water if you want FREAKING ICE IN IT*. I had no choice but to follow the request. I put a few cubes in it and gave her the cup watching the ice melt in the cup. She smiled and said thank you.
Another weird incident is when some old lady asked for her latte to be EXACTLY 180f. WHAT THE HELL YOU CANT EVEN CONSUME A BEVERAGE OF THAT TEMP. WITHOUT BURNING YOURSELF. I then made her milk to 180 and poured it in the hot cup. Then i gave her the drink. 5 Minutes later she comes back and says "Excuse me, But this drink is not 180 degrees" So i then remade it and gave it to her. Right after this event, i requested to take my 30.
