Today would have completed my 7th week as an RMT to be a SM but......I was canned by the **** of a DM. I have over 10 yrs of mgmt. experience and today was told I don't fit the Starbucks image or culture. Guess I just resisted the brain washing sessions and being made feel I need to live, eat and breathe Starbucks way at all times inside and outside of work.
Your not a Starbucks Fit....LMAO!

Wouldn't that be discrimination? Isn't that funny that it fell right before your 90 days was up? Sounds like a big bag of bull***t. An SM friend of mine told me that the DM's were on a termination crusade, as directed by their superiors. The rumour is that they were instructed to weed out the "liabilities" to make their stores look better and find new blood for their management team. It could be hearsay, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of it were true.

HA DARKROAST that makes perfect sense why I was terminated. I had blackmail on my Manager and my DM knew it and they fired me even though my Manager went out got drunk and made out with a Barista...

Isn’t it obvious. Starbucks does not want you to be an individual, they want robotic employees to smile and ‘just say yes’ when you’re being insulted and berated by managers and customers. I got in trouble for wearing white socks for Christ sakes! My manager told me I needed to get black socks so I can match the other drones who work at SB. We are being brain washed and it’s self deprecating to work for this corporation. I think we should all quit and once, then we can stop these tyrants before there are no more mom and pop coffee stores.

p.s. they don't pay me enough to go out and buy black socks anyway, that would probably be half my paycheck

blackwhitegrass: I completely agree with every word you speak.. Starbucks is literally employing mind control to us baristas and if we don't follow it, we get penalized for our actions. It's almost like a cult in a very similar way... I began working at Starbucks when I was 16 years old.. now I'm 18, and with that being said I have grown a little bit, and knowing that, my shirts have gotten a bit tight on me lately. Every time I tuck my shirt in, it pops right back out from my pants. So recently I recieved what seemed to be a nice, consoling talk about my shirts not being tucked in by my manager, which turned out to be a very angry speech battering how bad it is to have your shirt un-tucked into my head. This is a technique Adolf Hitler used to sway Nazi Germany, I'll have you.
Seriously? it's a damn SHIRT. If I'm making a good cup of coffee (or at least that's what my customers say.. a cup of lard is no delicacy to me..), who GIVES a rat's behind what condition my shirt is in? Starbucks.. all.. hail.. Starbucks...
p.s. i'm still laughing my **** off at the humor in your rants. HAHA

That's funny. I at least hope you were on the clock while you were forced to listen to your manager's garbage!
