This moron comes in constantly and says: "Yeah, can i get a caramel macchiato with milk". We all laugh our **** off every time. What else would it be made with, i would love to make him a caramel macchiato with ****. Lol. Has anyone come across this level of stupidity? The one kid that I work with puts in the custom box: WITH MILK, and circles it like 5 times, and the guy still hasnt gotten a hint that he doesnt need to say it.

Lots of people have no idea what is in their drinks. He probably thought it was made out of caramel machiatto :)

maybe he doesn't realize he is ordeing it "wrong". or, maybe you should just let him know instead of being a d*ouchebag and laughing at him.
no wonder why people always refer to baristas as obnoxious snobs, people like you give them a bad name.

I agree... quit being nasty and just let the guy know. It's got to be old by now. How can so many of you get off on being so rude to people? How lame are you guys anyways, snickering over something like that? Just take a minute and really THINK about the whole situation... kinda sad for you guys to sit back and giggle all the time and act like he is the stupid one.

i used to enjoy telling people that we we're out of machiatto mix and i could make them something else, or if they didn't mind, i could get creative with a vanilla latte and caramel sauce and make them the "poor man's machiatto."

LOL. Some guy came in and asked for hot chocolate with milk.

a lot of people don't know what they're ordering at all. I had a lady come in and she said "I want a grande vanilla latte with no cream in it"
I don't know where people get their ideas that caramel macchiatos would be made without milk or that we would put cream in a vanilla latte but whatever! I just humor them. the more I care about correcting every single customer, the more frustrated I'll get.

It does seem pretty stupid for people to not realize that most of our drinks are made with milk but you also have to realize (as you probably have already) that there are idiots out there. I honestly don't find it that funny that he says caramel macchiato with milk. He's probably too dumb to realize that white stuff in his drink is milk. I agree with you, hes an idiot but there are far funnier things to laugh at.

I really don't laugh that much, it was to make the story sound better, I didn't realize i sounded like such an ****. we get maybe a chuckle out of it. But the guy doesn't really come in anymore

What's with all the bleeding hearts in this thread. This guy is a moron. Anyone would laugh at the moment. Relax.

Its even worse when people order a drink like the caramel macchiato with milk and the Barista's just sit there and giggle and don't even bother to try to explain it to them that they're ordering it wrong. Then one Barista finally tries to correct them and the customer gets mad saying the Barista is wrong and they're right.

i always make it a point to correct the customer so they know to order it the right way next time i;m not a **** about it but i just inform them politely. i once had a guy argue with me that we could make a caramel macchiato frappiccino, insisting that he always orders it and they make it for him and i suggested a caramel frappiccino and he said no that's not what i want, so i ended up just making an iced caramel macchiato and blended it, even though i told him it wasn't going to come out right, he insisted it was what he wanted. then once he tried it he said no this isn't it, its all watery. I even made a caramel frappiccino to try and have him taste it to see if that was what he was looking for but he got mad, refused, and told me i didn't know how to do my job.....So thank you to any of those baristas out there who don't correct people if they are ordering the wrong drink, when they go to other stores saying, well this store did it for me, it gets frustrating specially when the drink they are talking about doesn't even exist

I agree with you steam_machine. I say just correct the customer and then go in the back and laugh about how they ordered it. I've had a woman yell at me when I asked her if sugar-free cinnamon dolce (because we ran out of regular) was okay in her caramel apple spice. She insisted that I had no idea what I was doing and that I should ask someone who has been working there longer. I was about a year into working there at the time. Yeah I must of imagined it...my bad.
