SO aside from all the BS stuff that happens at work, one plus to working at Starf*** is the cute customers who come in! I know I'm not the only one who would kill to have a rendezvous with a few customers outside of work. Don't mind if I do....

Yeah the store I work at 4 of the girls found their significant others while working for Sbux. If you wanna find love, work for Sbux.

I actually found my love at sbux. :)

I'm not saying I would date my co workers uggh but slot of are customers are professionals and not too bad looking,
But what would they want with a lowly starbucks employees :(
Posted 3 years ago # -
Um, they might be attractive, but I would not really want to date a guy who orders a soy sugar free vanilla latte with five grains of Splenda. I like manly men. Just sayin'.

I met my man while working at Starbucks, only good thing to come from working there. :)

For the ones who have found people while working how did everything go down?

Ha. It was actually more of a reunion. I saw this guy again after a few years at the Drive Thru. I gave him my number...we started talking, but it wasn't til a few months later we actually got together. :) It was excellent, best thing that ever came from sbux for me.

lol i never in a million would've dated someone that went into starbucks or dated someone that worked there. but i cannot lie! it was love at first sight...for him. lol he turned in an application and i was the one that took it. i forgot about it until he brought it up. he flirted a lot when we worked together but i was too wrapped up in hating that place i didnt pay attention. the first time i noticed was when he threw ice down my shirt. he couldnt hit me while standing next to me but as soon as he is about to leave the back room he throws a piece and it lands straight down my shirt. i got moved to the new store that was opening like two weeks after that. and shortly after i left he was fired (for totally biased reasons, can you say "favorites!" but thats another story). He sent me a message on myspace asking if i knew anywhwere that was hiring. so i laughed and asked if he was fired for throwing ice. but i thought he was just looking for a second job, like most people that work there have to do. and it was history from there. we've been together for almost 2 years, and i couldn't be happier.
but i wouldnt suggest dating anyone that you work with. its messy and gets people in trouble. and it creates way too much gossip.

I dated a customer once...needless to say it was horrible horrible idea.

I preferred to meet guys when I was waitressing, not at starbucks! you get to talk to the a guy for like 2 minutes at starbucks, but if you're waiting tables you usually get about an hour to chat them up

There was one...he would get a doppio...he went back to Italy. =(

Mine is a Grande purple eye. We've finally gotten on first name basis (yay!) and he is a chef around the corner from my store. Try as I might to get to know him and vice versa, a line always develops right when he walks in. It could be 6am...never fails! He's asked me to come by his restaurant for a drink and my female coworkers always "oooo" and "awwww!" when we interact...I'm considering just manning up and casually slipping him my number but I hardly have the nerve.

wtf is a purple eye?

Yeah, there is this guy who i haven't spoken to for even a minute at a time but I have the biggest crush on him! I spied his name from his gold card and googled him and apparently he's a genius scientist with a PhD. I'm currently stalking his Yelp profile. :)

There's a Jewish girl who gets a french vanilla soy misto , with the wand rubbed down especially for her soy to be steamed (Allergies).
She used to come in with a guy who she's allegedly marrying, but I haven't seen him since she shared that without me with no conversational pretext. She just randomly told me while she was on her own. Then she proceeded to eye me like a panther. It was odd.
There's also this cute girl who sits Indian-style on the high chairs of our bar. It's **** adorable. She mostly reads; rarely is she found staring at a screen, phone or otherwise.
I haven't thought about dating them, however. It seems like an awkward idea. It is odd how SB kind of emits this romantic atmosphere though. Couples are an incredibly common feature here, and everyone seems to be a little more flirtatious/verbose in SB. I wonder why.

There is this just sexy redhead with double tattoo sleeves, that is just my liberal wet dream. I would love to just shack up with this chick and pop out like 2 and half hippie kids, or just go back to my place and ****.

yup a purple eye is coffee with three shots. i love the simplicity yet the manliness...at least it isn't a sfv soy 2 splenda no foam latte or some ****.

Anyone else have to deal with overly friendly and awkward customers?
We had a situation at our store recently where a customer tried to ask my co-worker out, by talking to my other co-worker. Needless to say, it caused drama.
Although not sure this belongs here.
He wasn't cute.
I guess that's why I'm hesitant to flirt with customers.

I'm sure I mentioned how one of my overbearing, kool-aid swilling sack of monkey spunk shifts used to c-block me at the first store I worked at. And you know, the worse thing was that these were nice girls. Art school girls. Awesome. And they asked -me- out, not the other way around. .. so it made me feel like. good. about myself.
siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh. Wait, oh, ****. Emo. .. eh, I look the part, and I -am- listening to Alesana right now. Haha.

Alesana is love

It was in a non-coffee retail shop and I was the asst. manager, working behind the counter. I looked up and said can I help... I was looking into the eyes of a beautiful woman with eyes far bluer then even mine. They looked like deep, blue glazed porcelain. I said to her, "My God, our children would be beautiful."
She replied, "Yes.. but I'm married."
"Yes," I said. "So am I, but still..."
That was a good 25 years ago, and I am still married to the same woman I was at the time, but I still remember that woman's eyes like it was yesterday....

Neva Dinova could use my mixing skills as well as my harmonica behind that tune...
I also write lyrics:You're bent over the sink
It's all gone wrong.
You don't know your own name,
And your panties are gone

And in case it comes up in court, I never met Amy, and I've never been to First Avenue

There used to be this customer who I thought was totally cute, until I took his order... A venti skinny vanilla latte. Oh please! Then I met (we'll call him John Doe), he was not only super sweet and handsome, he ordered a mocha. Not one single modifier, just mocha. Oh if I was the stalker type I'd be outside his window right now!

What about when a cute male customer comes in and gets a Double chocolately chip, or a strawberries and cream...total turn off in my book what a fem drink lol
Posted 2 years ago # -
^^^^^
(F)ags.When that happens I usually cough*pus*sy*cough.
I dunno, I feel like I'm surrounded by beautiful tail all day long. And now that the weather is getting warm... Come on ladies!
There is one girl though, venti soy light water chai, that does it for me. She's not even like super hot, there's just something about her. She always acts like she's shy, and gets embarrassed when I know her drink. Damn. Be single if you work at the Bux.
