Tips at my store are pretty much $1.50/hr every week. Up to $1.60 on a "good" week. Clearly this is decent compared to what some of you guys are getting.

Yeh, I suppose those of us making over a buck shouldn't complain too much..

@java I used to work at an INDEPENDENT coffee house and we only made about $1.25-$2.5/hr in tips, so..... yeah.
Posted 1 year ago # -
i'm working at an independent place, and i might be lucky to get around an extra $2 an hour. unlike my buddy who might get $20 for an 8 hour day. @_@

At least you get tips. Licensed store = No tips! I do take some, sometimes if there's no one around to see. But I'll be lucky if that's more than a dollar. I did get lucky once, and got to take home $15. But that was just once...
People generally don't even try to tip.

I once had a lady call us 'robbers and thieves' for having a tip jar, because 'our prices are so high already.' In my defense, her drink wouldn't have cost cost six dollars if she weren't such a fatty.

$.50/hr normal weeks
4th of July week was a STORE RECORD (six years) of $.99.
Can someone letter bomb me?
On another note, **** (A[ss]h[at]) get's censored? WTF?
Posted 1 year ago # -
lololo don't ask me or the admin about the censor's filter. It edits out some words with doublemeanings, too.
Posted 1 year ago # -
It's just funny. The censor is about as dumb as most of the coffee zombies I serve.

Mobilized: 42 partners in one store?! I don't think I've ever seen more than 15(max) at any stores that I've worked at.
Mine average $2 and been steady...I do the same as becca, gas and groceries!

.25 an hour. Shoot me now.
Posted 1 year ago # -
WOW. My store does 0.70/hr. **** sucks.

Good week: 1/hr
Posted 1 year ago # -
I get 1-1.50, 2 if we're lucky
Posted 1 year ago # -
Yup, 1-1.50 here, too.
Posted 1 year ago # -
Wow, and I thought our 1.50 was bad. But it's pretty sad since it's a pretty wealthy town and the nearby ghetto sbux gets upwards of 2.00 per hour.

We get $1.00/hr pretty consistently, plus or minus 5 cents. I think one time we had about $1.25 per hour and everyone was like WHOOOAAAA.
One of our shifts transferred from another store where she used to get $2-3/hr.

@MelonSyrup
I used to think my store had the most, but I was wrong, Astor Place has more partners than us by about 5 or 7
Our Store Meetings used to be WILD.

I've noticed a trend at stores in my area. Cafe only stores tend to have tip rates almost double what the drive thru stores have. I was just curious if that holds true in other places. I'm at a drive thru store and get less than $1.00/hr on average.
Posted 1 year ago # -
Maybe... We're cafe only and very small with pretty loyal customers. We avg 1-1.50

i work 38 hours a week on average, and the most i've ever gotten is $34...usually, we average .65/hour.
and i work in an outlet mall, that sells DESIGNER brands.
most of our regulars are employees of other stores, and they NEVER tip. people...

Lol our tips are like 30 cents an hour.
Posted 9 months ago # -
Between $1-$1.30/hour, usually. It peaks at over $2/hour the week of Christmas, but the week after always dips below $1/hour.

Around $1/hr. I had a friend who quit Starbucks to work for an independent coffee shop (in an affluent area) and he makes $80 in tips a day... It would take me 2.5 weeks to earn the same amount in tips.
Posted 9 months ago # -
the tips at my store are .40 an hour about. it's sad because i work at another store quite often too and my tips are nearly the same amount, despite the fact that i work at most eight hours a week at that other store.

$1 - 1.5 at my store. Hubby and I decided that since my tips aren't a budgeted amount I get to keep them for wild spending money haha.
Posted 9 months ago # -
O hai guyz,
I make $5/hr. in San FranciscoPosted 9 months ago # -
Taking BART/Muni sucks though unless you live in the city. I'll eat my $1.5 tips instead, haha.
Posted 9 months ago # -
@Annabelle, that's my policy too. All. 90 per hour. Down from $1.25 lately. Grrr
