There wasn't anyone else in the store. I think she just wanted the free drink coupons to be honest. Plus I never saw her again.
Starbucks customers are **** nazis.

Honestly, I think this is going to be the hardest part of my job. I tend to view my interactions with customers in terms of training dogs (I'm in the middle of training my husky.... so it's on my mind).
DON'T REWARD BAD BEHAVIOR!
If I honestly messed up a drink, I will apologize and fix it for you asap. This is how I managed a cafe I used to work at when I was younger. If I make you a "traditional macchiato", after explaining the difference between a traditional one and starbuck's "caramel macchiato" thing, and then you complain because it has no caramel or whip....... that is not my problem.
No free drinks.
No coupons. No vouchers. If you end up screaming or pitching a tantrum like a 2 year old, I'm not going to use my indoor voice. I'm going to use my police officer voice and tell them to leave the store. Immediately. And then I'm going to be fired because you can't do that.

Most customers are pretty much always stupid and a pain in the butt, but lately our store has had this weird onslaught of ridiculously idiotic people who demand free stuff. Case in point- the man who came into the store last week, super angry, claiming that we messed up his grande soy chai and thus ruined his entire day. Demanded a remade drink, free drink coupons, and requested that disciplinary action be taken against the barista who made his drink. And, of course, my manager cowered in fear and gave him all the freebies. Or the guy who came in the drive through and said he ordered a caramel macchiato yesterday and it wasn't hot enough, so "I'm giving you the opportunity to remake it for me." Yup- he got a free drink and a coupon, too.
Stop encouraging this madness. Give coupons to customers when you've actually screwed something up, not because they're whining like a four year old who wants a chocolate chip cookie before dinner.

We had a customer call to complain that we messed up her tall soy chai. The SS at the time was so sick of listening to her, that she agreed to give this psycho two recoveries, a refund, and a new drink.
Also, last week we had someone complain that we gave her a grande instead of the tall that she ordered. She demanded a refund and a new drink. While that all doesn't make sense, she came and complained like three days later....
I really hate people, and this job is making it worse.Posted 1 year ago # -
I work at a Starbucks in Europe and it is always the Americans that come in and act like pieces of s$!t! Spitting out ultra customized orders before you even have time to say hello, never saying thank you or goodbye, asking for extras after they paid and the order has been placed, and generally complaining about everything if its not done for them. I am American myself, so don't think this is another European hating on America. Granted its only a few, but wtf?! You're a guest in this country, stop giving America a bad image.
