I don't know what the customer is thinking when this happens:
It was a busy day (Frappy Hour) and just my luck... both front registers freeze... so as I'm restarting my register and trying to help the first customer in line, my shift is expediting, calling down the line to get drinks started.
Finally once the registers are working again, I get to the 6th guy in line who gives me this NASTY look. I say hello, then apologize for the wait, after which I ask what his drink was and he's like "That other person already took my order." (in a TONE that said 'Are you stupid? Hello, my order was already taken, and you should already know what it is') ...to which I swiftly and frankly responded "Okay, and what was it? I have to ring you up, you know."
WHY DO **** STUPID CUSTOMERS ALWAYS DO THIS?! Do they think us employees share some kind of telepathic link? That we know everything that goes on with everyone?
I hate people who say "She's/He's already making my drink" or "That other person already got my order" ...OKAY, WELL I KNOW THAT YOU HAVEN'T BEEN RUNG UP YET. I'm SORRY if I was handling another issue, but I DID NOT HEAR YOUR STUPID DRINK. REPEAT IT, YOU DENSE MORON. JUST TELL ME WHAT THE HELL YOU ORDERED, AND DON'T GIVE ME ATTITUDE!
And MAN, I wanted to backhand that one douchegod across the face.
