i understand that old people are our elders and we should respect them. (not all of them) but some of these old people really need to get a clue
Situation 1:
Morning rush with me on the bar. Two old women come in and look at the menu for ~10 minutes. They finally decide on what they want. And they walk directly to the bar. And they stand there giving me the look of death (you guys know what i'm talking about) while I am making drinks that have already been queued. They just keep staring at me and then one of them boldly says "we're ready if you're ready." I look up and say "You ladies can place your order over there" while i point to the register.
Situation 2:
Slow afternoon. Old guy comes in and orders a tall coffee. I ask him if he wants room for cream. He says "starbucks is trying to sell me a house now?" he was serious. i spent the next 5 minutes explaining to him what "room for cream" meant.
Situation 3:
Old man comes in and orders a tall earl grey tea. i make it for him and charge him. he asks "is the teabag already in there?" i say yes and he asks me "how do i get the teabag out?" *palm to face*
