Ok first off wow im so excited i found this site i am going crazy. I have a situation that im sure most have gone through but i really need advice from people and what they have done. This will be long to read so if your reading it please hold on tight.When i first started starbucks was the coolest job ever **** making coffee i didnt see the hard work in it. I had been in the company for 2 months when i left to vacation but before i left i had been offered a shift position and my manager had said we were going to discuss it when i got back. Unfortunatly when i got back she had left and this devil came into work from a store that is similar to starbucks with no experience what so ever. During this time that i have been employed shes done things that i feel and others feel she shouldnt be able to get away with any more. 1) she makes us clopen 2)Brings a pet to work (sometimes) 3.) shows up on her own schedual and leaves when she feels like it. 4) is friends with regional and district manager (call and go out with each other)5. 9 baristas have been terminated or quit ans she brought all her employees from her job over to starbucks 6. Threatened to take peoples hours and job away 7. lies about everything thinking we wouldnt find out 8. she bans all x employees that transfer and risk them from losing thier job anywhere else by claiming they are a threat.9. she is on the phone the whole time she is at work with another store manager and 10. she yells and distrespects baristas on the floor and makes them work like slaves. if anyone has any ideas i would love to hear them we have tried HR but all they do is try to tell you that everything will be ok... we dont get paid enough for this ****!

yeah, quit. i mean come on, IT'S EASY. it's not like you have to worry about paying bills or anything...god cruiseeyes you are **** IGNORANT.
anyway, report to the DM possibly?? or try to transfer

first of all, never ever listen to anything posted by cruiseyeyes. he/she... it is a dipsh1t customer who knows nothing about how the company works and, in fact, loves starbucks. people like cruisey are the reason this job is unique in the horrible way it is. that said, https://businessconduct.eawebline.com/ is the business ethics submission. you can submit any type of report anonymously and will actually get a pretty timely response (even if it is somewhat cookie cutter). there are a few other resources available that I will look up next time I have them immediately accessible when I am on here. Make sure you act professionally; if you just blow it out of proportion and don't take any responsibility, you won't be taken seriously. Not to doubt your ethic or personality, but firing people for no reason, DM favoritism, and complaints like that sound rather... not true. and that's coming from someone with total empathy for you. no one should ever have to work in an environment you described, and you should not keep any complaints you have to yourself (just be careful how you do it). But don't make brash accusations unless they are true objective observations.

OK first off to cruisyeyes and yo.... i aint here for your games if it was easy to quit i would have already done it but its not. Im probably not like ya that sit at home and watch tv while moms and pops pay the bills i work my **** off to do my **** so lets just get that out of the way...as for itadakimasu thank you i appreciate it you have no idea how hard it is to get at this **** knowing you have no where to turn... the last time a shift called HR on the SM HR got back on her and she had no choice but to quit.Worse of all knowing there is no help from anyone not even our DM or RM cuz they are all friends. I have proof on alot of **** its just a matter of knowing where to go next.Ive been very patient and i mean patient!And the only reason ive held tight is because i wanna get out of this one clean not just for me but all the others that are going through it as well. the **** doesnt deserve to be there period. Like i said we need help with this situation and lots of it so please keep bringing on anything that will help to get this **** out!

ps. sorry i forgot to mention last time we try to bring up anything to HR they were fast to tell the SM everything instead of handling it. WTF?

i feel for you baristaslave, sounds like the last store i was at. i stil talk to some partners at that store and they are still dealing with that b*itchs bullsh*t. its really difficult when the sm and dm are friends. best of luck.

i'm with cruisy.. if you are unhappy where you work -- quit. i say that for everyone here. get a job elsewhere. go to a temp agency, they will find work for you.
