I want to add that Starbucks intentionally makes their house coffee bitter so you order a specialty drink. They don't want you to just drink good coffee, that would be bad.

Moa, I'm assuming here that the SB you work at/frequent doesn't replace the C/seat cups in the brewers as often as they should. That's the number one complaint with bitter coffee, IMHO. Tastes totally different with a fresh seat cup in there. You pull out one that's been in there too long and your hands are BLACK from all the coffee residue that's on the plastic. Ew.
