Are you talking about Jeffrey? I read about that earlier today, too.

Here's SBUX response to it: http://www.starbucks.com/blog/our-dedication-to-embrace-diversity/1035?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=rep

I should really not be spending my precious free time reading about the horrors that go on in the company that holds the reins of my at-will employment wageslavery.
That being said, bump.

Like I said in another thread, SBUX in New York is a HOT MEEEESSSSSSS!
SBUX is very diverse, and usually extremely tolerant. NYC has some very... colorful characters, and they work at every store lol, I promise you. Centereach is far from NYC, which is why I am not surprised this happened, because you simply can't be intolerant and work here, we are eveywhere! However, it is still on this side of the eastern seaboard, so the stamp applies - hot mess!
I will say this, I don't think it is fair to go in on SBUX because they had an incidence of intolerance. I am sure it is going to happen anywhere, and they really do a lot to counteract those instances. However, the unprofessionalism and drama is classic of SBUX and even more classic is how they do something when the letter goes viral.
