Enough With The Cleaning

So on the topic of chemicals... Has anyone ever asked to see the MSDS sheets on spirit and the other cleaning products that we use. Like the sanitizer for one. That stuff always makes my lungs burn... It is one of our rights to see these things and maybe demand proper cleaning gloves in our stores... I mentioned something to my manager about OSHA/MSDS sheets in relation to the fact that we have no proper cleaning gloves, and guess what they appeared on the next order.
Cleaning sucks but there is no way around it. I myself love any chance to get off the floor and a way from the idiot co workers and customers...Posted 2 years ago # -
Athena is the Greek goddess of stfu and make me a turkey pot pie, parabola. Now get in the kitchen.

Yes, the cleaning is very tedious, but in an odd way it makes sense that we do so much of it. I mean with all the dairy and all the hands touching things...it sort of makes sense.
//my two cents.

Health inspector is good enough for every other business in the country. Why not Starbucks? If you are going to make us deep clean like you do, please give us a few more labor hours. Scrub the drains, help a customer, clean the tiles, make a drink, rebrew coffee, clean the ceiling, wash some--wait, no, rebrew coffee, now wash those dishes, mop up that mess, clean the toilets...good lord, what the hell?!!, rinse, repeat

And yet, Parabola, I'm pretty positive that there are days that you would love to just rant and rave about how much you hate something that happened where ever you work. It's human nature. We complain about stuff that bugs us, so what? Get off your high horse and go where someone gives a rat's a$$ what you're thinking, mmmmmmkay?
We're all thankful that we have jobs, right? But I'd far rather be working somewhere where I don't have to clean up after other people. Too bad I don't have the money to finish school yet, and can't get a job in my chosen field. Starbucks isn't the greatest, but it gives insurance where most jobs like it would just say, "F OFF WE DON"T CARE BLAH BLAH BLAH RAGE."
Also, I don't mind cleaning the bathrooms...ours are always a lot cleaner than you'd think, so it's really easy.

I hate Starbucks just as much as anyone, but I'm glad I have a job too.
Starbucks is definitely my least favorite job I've had so far, but it pays more than...well, holding the couch down or soemthing. :pPosted 2 years ago #
