Why do the new seasonal drinks sounds gross? Salted Caramel Creme Frap? VOM. I only glanced at the promo workbook, but none of them sound that great, at least from the recipes. Did we have these drinks last fall? I was hired at the beginning of the summer.

Vom? LOL i'm gonna steal that
No, that's a new drink for sure lol. These new drinks, do they need any new syrups? Or they can be concocted with existing syrups?

yes we had the salted drinks last year. The salted caramel hot chocolate frappucino was around just not heavily promoted. It's a creme based frappucino with mocha and toffee nut, whipped cream with caramel drizzle and salt topping on top. It's actually pretty **** good. The salted caramel mocha frappucino is same thing but coffee based. The hot version of the salted caramel hot chocolate is built like a regular one... With vanilla PLUS toffee nut and all that other s.hit. Lots of calories.

yeah the salted CR drinks have been around for a few years.. I don't like them because TN is one of our most foul syrups. but people lose their **** over the SCHC and PSLs.

Same old crap. I used to have a short seasonal/new flavor whatever and not even finish it and that would be the end of that. Funny to watch the customers go into their frenzy for the "new" stuff and the best... running out and ruining someone's life because of it. lol! the buck's stupid customers

I ordered a PSL this morning and I actually threw out the entire drink when I got to the back because I REALLY disliked it. I'm never that wasteful :(

I made myself a short the first day we pulled the syrup out... And immediately dumped it after the first sip. I hate pumpkin pie.
It's good in cold choc milk though oddly enough.

VOM >_<

The popularity of the PSL confounds me. Even in years past, before I was a partner, I saw around the same time every year, how people would change their facebook status to something like "OMGPUMPKINSPICELATTEIHAVENOLIFE" and so one day, I went in and ordered one. I've never had something so terrible in all my life. Why people enjoy that abomination is beyond me. At least with a lot of the other drinks, I can see the draw in them. But not this one.

Oh there were frappuccino ones, too? I only saw the recipe card for the SCHC, which I love an order to this day

I love SCHC, but they have way too much effing syrup in them.
I'd love to see how many calories are in a venti.

I don't care about calories. There could be a million, I don't give a fxck.
I wouldn't order any larger than a venti though. SCHC are comfort drinks. You sip them, savor them. A venti gets too cold before you get to finish it doing that.

^ We don't carry anything larger than a venti lol :p

I say we re do Super Size me, but with Starbucks products.
You can only eat/drink Starbucks products for a month. (Which isn't hard consider we get 3-5 free drinks a day,and if you close, you get your dibs on pastries)
You have to eat at least everything once.
And you can't only have iced coffee/iced tea to drink.

^ I think I just threw up in my mouth reading your idea.

eyeadapt: sounds like last month for me. snort.

Sharps, that's the saddest thing ever!

The Salted Caramel Creme Frappuccino sounded nasty, but my shift made one for us to try and split it into short cups and it wasn't too bad. The SCHC sounded gross to me too, but again- shift made a sample and ohhhhh my god. I am excited for the holiday drinks. For myself, of course. The customers can suck it.

I love when customers act like PM is only a holiday drink. Are there any other new drinks this year?

I get a 10 minute paid break in the middle of work, then a "half"... just 30 minutes to eat lunch. I'm not even guaranteed a last 10.
Sometimes it's not even worth the 5 minute run to grab real food, just to run back to the store and eat in the backroom with maybe 15 minutes or less. I save myself the time, money and effort to feed myself properly, in exchange for eating the same markout food every day.

We chip in a lot to get pizza delivered. That helps mix it up a little bit. But now we are getting tired of pizza lol.
Posted 1 year ago # -
When I close, my half always coincides with the time they shut down the oven. FML when the markout bin is filled with only breakfast sandwiches and spinach feta wraps.
I know I can't live on $2 pizza every half. I'm getting mouth sores regularly now from layering my pizza slices with red peppers. It's painful at its worse, and a constant nuisance throughout.

You should transfer to my store. There's a million options as far as food goes, and you never have to worry about moving outside furniture around in the rain, because we don't move it ever :)
(or do outside garbages)

oh lord, the seasonal drinks. We hatez them, my precious.
Maybe if they didn't come out in August, and then last till February, it wouldn't be that bad.
Maybe if people didn't cream themselves at the mention of the PSL or PM, it wouldn't be that bad.
Maybe if Howard blew me, it wouldn't be that bad. . .

I dunno man, he's got some big chompers.

You could shove an entire bullet of espresso into Howard Schultz's mouth and he'd give you the perfect espresso shot. It'd also melt through the demitasse cup and the saucer.

I heard he once authorized a Sumatran genocide simply because of a burlap shortage.

He convinces idiots on a daily basis to pay $5 for the bitter juice of ground beans injected with hot water. Some might call that espresso, but I tell it like it is.
