   I originally thought that the surrounding Starbucks stores were affected by this event... I was going to post photos too. But it seems like mine was the only one. If I explicitly state what happened today, the coffee gestapo would be able to identify me.

   But it happened. My store dumped all of the brewed coffee, iced teas, and shut down both Mastrenas. We could not serve any beverage other than iced coffees (made earlier in the day), cold milk, apple juice, lemonades and bottled drinks.

   We turned away every customer who wanted lattes, cappucinos, mochas, frappucinos, you name it! And no iced water. Hint: anything that involved water. IT. WAS. SO. AWESOME! Like winning at everything forever.

   It didn't last the entire shift though... the incident corrected itself and we started serving brewed coffee, espresso drinks and iced teas again. You can't win with Starbucks.

   We couldn't make frappucinos because we couldn't rinse the pitchers. By extension, smoothies too.

   We almost ran right out of coffee today.

   Almost. Down to the 1lb retail bags of bold, and out of pike. On the last bag of espresso beans too.

   I was so wishing we had lol. So I could tell people, "I'm SO sorry... but we are completely out of coffee." :)

   Sadly, they should be getting a shipment tonight.

   My old store, the one that wasn't starbucks, had just one huge espresso machine. We had three spots to pull shots, and one spot to pull tea,and a milk steamer on each side.

   In my current store we have two, but one is in drive, and is only used in the morning if we get busy. The other one only pulls 2 shots at a time, and steams one pitcher of milk X_X It feels like the easy bake oven of espresso machines.

   My current store uses two, my old store has three. Having a machine break down would have been a nightmare for me!

   @ Unsweetened, we have so many stores right around the corner that we can borrow product from, there is no way we could run of coffee.

    We do too! We have 13 stores in our airport. But it's like, inventory day and we're not supposed to borrow anything from anywhere because it screws them up or something. Whatever. We just send customers to the other stores instead.

    OMG, I think I know what airport you work at. I was there a couple of years back and hadn't slept for nearly 27 hours. I was soooo tired and didn't have my glasses, I got super lost hahaha.

    It's a big*ss airport lol. It's a city basically, with it's own zipcode and everything. It's probably easy to get lost.

    Yep. I know the one. When I go there next I am going to stop at all 13 stores and ask for a PT, and then I am going to start saying, "Unsweetened. I want that unsweetened. Did you get it was unsweetened? I don't care if I miss my flight, I want it unsweetened!"
