Does any one else have to refrigerate the mocha? Our manager is making us do it, is that policy, because in the year i have been hear we NEVER have done that.

Our store doesn't refrigerate mocha. What's the point in doing so if just-made mocha has a 24 hour shelf-life?

it's so thick in the natural state, I feel like refrigerating it would make it form a mocha brick.

Occasionally our mocha gets runny because they added more than 2 liters per bag, or didn't mix it thoroughly to begin with. Those java chip frappucinos, man would that drizzle get all over the counter.
But nothing beats expired mocha. The smell alone... I haven't made myself any mocha drinks frapp or otherwise since then.

I feel like if mocha was refrigerated, it would be knocked over easily.
You know, milk going in and out of the fridges all day.Posted 1 year ago # -
Um actually it is AGAINST policy to refrigerate the mocha. The mocha, and the white mocha, are supposed to be kept on the counter. I saw it today in the beverage guide on the store portal. Isn't it sad when the month-old barista knows more about policy and procedure than the SM? hahaha....FAIL

@decafe, I am curious to know what store you worked at in AZ? Maybe I know you? Doubtful but you never know. What do you say? :D

Omg whenever someone talks about an AZ store, I always wonder if they work at the Anthem stores. I seriously used to be so addicted to Frappuccinos I would go in their and order a Venti, drink it there, and GET ANOTHER ONE TO GO.
o.O WHAT THE HECK WAS WRONG WITH ME BACK THEN?!?!??!

The Anthem store on Daisy Mountain by Fry's was a crowded and ill designed store.

Haha yeah NOT a fan. I usually went to the one on Gavilan Peak Parkway...Much better ambiance, although they were both teeny tiny. And I loved the staff at that one, even though I had a friend that worked at the store you are talkin about lol

My store refrigerates it. We use so much in a day that its the only place to put back-ups. Its just always been that way, I've never questioned it. Apparently its okay with the DM or else we'd have stopped doing it a lonnnng time ago!

we don't refrigerate it because we have a place to put backups. I do have a barista that puts the mocha drizzle bottle in the fridge so it doesn't come out like **** all over frappucinos and hot chocolates. it gets a lot thicker in the fridge.

Ya, it is always thick, and a bunch gets stuck in the cube, and generally i don't care to scrape all the mocha out. And the odd part is, now only one of the two mochas is put in the fridge!! We mix in the cubes, pour into a mocha container for the pump, wrap it and set it on the counter. Then we mix one more and leave it in the cube and the manager just puts it in the back fridge... So its not like ALL of it, just one container...and the first week she started out of no where she NEVER told any one. So we had toooons of extramocha do to us making more thinking we only had half what we neeeded.
