Erm.
*squirms*
Here's one...
Or here:
...yeah. BUT TO BE FAIR, I've been collecting them since 2002. So...yeah.
Don't judge. :P
hehehe ;D One of my shift takes one of every new one we get for a friend of hers that used to be a partner who has been collecting them almost as long :)
I once had over 50 designs myself, but I chucked them all in anger at Starbucks. :p
I like Pokemon TFG. Gundam Action Figures and paint sets.
I also just got into playing Magic: The Gathering.
Also, Make up <3
The first thing I bought off eBay, ever, were a set of holographic pokemon cards. They were unreleased in America, and featured big guys from Generation 2. I was also 12, and I literally sent real money in an envelope. I did that a lot, actually. I'm surprised I never got robbed - LOL
Does Amazon addictions to buying movie posters count?
I feel my dad needs an honorable mention with his addiction to about...1 year long e-bay addiction to Hawaiian shirts and tiki mugs.
Would you guys believe I have never placed a bid on ebay? I buy stuff online all the time, but for some reason ebay has never appealed to me.
I've only ever bought a few records and rare foreign films on e bay. I really prefer Amazon. Better prices and better prices on shipping.
I use Amazon for almost all my textbooks. Love it, I save so much money.
Thankfully my dad buys my textbooks. I try to get them new, I feel bad. But he doesn't help me out any other way. So I always sell them back for spare cash at the end of the semester.
I get whatever I can find cheapest, then I usually sell them at the end of the semester anyway. Except I don't sell everything, some of the books I keep because I know they have a lot of material I can use for references in essays for future semesters.
guitars, guitar stuff, and weird articles of clothing.
I think the most informative textbook I ever bought was A History of Grahpic Design, by Phillip Meggs. Good stuff in there. :)
I use Amazon, but:
Random cheap instruments/effects pedals. I'm acquiring quite a collection. :]
Also textbooks.
Also video games.
Also I'm trying to get most of the albums I actually care about either on CD or vinyl. I want to have a physical copy of it.
I barely spend money on anything except living expense sort of stuff. Otherwise, I'll occassionally just order a book or twain from Amazon. Mostly trade paperbacks or graphic novels that I'm too lazy to grab from my local comic shop, or too courteous to be like 'O HAY CAN U ORDER THIS 4 ME' and then, given my schedule, not be able to show up for weeks to grab it.
@decafgrande and, that second card you posted .. I recognize the darkness in the lower right corner. That card is cursed. You're going to need a cleric to exorcise it.
Amazon is great and all, but does anyone use their local library?
ETA: This is a general question. Mmmmkay? Eyeadapt. O_o
I collect Stradivarius on Starbucks wages. Mainly really nice effects pedals for my guitar so I can sound like an acid trip. Yeah.
Local libraries don't carry text books and also. Don't you know? If you were ever a child you understand you want to OWN something. lolo. not rent it. DUH. X_X
If anyone finds a Moogerfooger for cheap, please to has.
I think I just manifested a brooch addiction........
I'm into buying Cold War/Civil Defense stuff.
Kind of a nerdy area, but I collect coins too. Coins are like my crack; unless it's actually blow, then that's my crack.
^ When I was little I had this really cool coin collection that my great grandfather had left me when he passed away. I think my mother "saved it" for me though and I have no idea what happened to it :(
If your great-great had it, it probably has a bunch of coins that are pure silver or close to it. Morgan dollars are worth at least the price of silver bullion (about $40) right now plus the worth of the coin.
They were coins from his country. Not even in circulation anymore. But I don't speak to my mother, so even though they were left to me, I will never see those again :(
Well lately I have been using eBay to sell all of my worldly possessions to make ends meet.
