So, I need my fellow baristas to help settle a debate: how many pumps of classic go into the STCF and GTF frappuccino. We were arguing whether it was 1-2-2 espresso bar pumps or 2-3-4 espresso bar pumps.

it is definitely 1-2-2, though everyone gets it wrong.

Whatever, I just however many pumps in the fraps that I want to at the time. Who carezzzzz.

Yeah, I've given up caring. I try to remember, but a lot ofttimes I just can't and I have like, 13 frappés to make, so I don't have the time. And I can never remember which goes first kn a stcf, milk or str. :-/

STCF has classic? Oo /post in things I didn't know for too long
Posted 1 year ago # -
Actually, its 2-3-4(with the black syrup pump), and milk goes in first. How do I know this? I am looking at the recipe cards as we speak hahaha :D

Ah the never ending debate! My store can't agree either :-p

And @Sirens Eye, don't worry, when I first started I kept getting confused and thinking the STCF had Vanilla Bean Powder in it(as the Cream). Epic Faillll hahaha :P

FF, that sounds pretty yummy, actually. ^_^

I recently noticed my new store manager making an STCF with puree > milk instead of milk > puree. The same gal who labels herself "the queen or BR2". ... B-itch, you are getting tied to R1 next time I'm holding the keys.

^ Lol, I'd give you internets if I hadn't given them all to thinkdeep yesterday lol.

it's def 1,2,2 unless you have a cbs pump on it
Posted 1 year ago # -
creme base replaced the classic in stcf. the answer is 0.
Posted 1 year ago # -
^untrue. It still gets classic 1,2,2 espresso bar pumps or 2,3,4 CBS pumps. all the current recipe cards are (I think) on the portal too incase you are ever unsure of what something gets.

the blended strawberry lemonade doesn't get classic anymore, stcf still does.

Oh wtf, I was pretty certain than since the recipe changed and started using cream neither one of those had classic anymore. I better check those recipe cards once again. Oh sbux, FU for changing things every five minutes so one ever knows wtf is ever going on.

^ My store no longer uses classic in STCF, it does in GTF. I personally like the STCF without the classic, it makes it too sweet and artifical tasting.

My store manager taught me to use classic in only the GTF, not the STCF. This was over 3 months ago. I still don't add classic syrup to strawberries & creme frappuccinos.

When my SM is around it’s 1,2,2
When my SS is around it’s 2,3,4
When no one is around it’s whatever i can remember.Posted 1 year ago # -
The recipe card states (the exact wording may vary):
Syrup pumps: 2-3-4
Quality notes: Ensure pump is pressed all the way down, and released up. Use black espresso bar pump.I looked it up today to settle this debate at my store.

Yep, it's 2-3-4 with the black pump. Classic should never have anything but a black pump. All these recipes are available on the portal, so I'm not sure why there is such confusion. Oh, yeah, it's because our imperial overlords change the recipes so frequently, not to mention inventing new ways to make things, new pumps for certain drinks that have different calibrations, and just when you think you've got it figured out, they change it again. But, yeah, STCF and GTF get 2-3-4 of classic, from the black pump. CHCF, on the other hand, gets 1-2-2 of chai, which is totally not enough, IMO. I always put in 2-3-4, and nobody has ever complained.

our classic has a white pump... IDK what to even do now if I have to make a drink w/ CL.

@Custom: on the chcf, if you use the chai like froast (chai in cup, 2-3-4, then milk to bottom line, as opposed to adding the syrup directly to the pitcher), it is less runny, and tastes way better... Despite our chai being nasty, and frappuccinos being sugar-coma-inducing nightmares. :p
The BSL (strawberry lemonade) doesn't get classic anymore, according to the latest cards on the portal. We used to always add it.

I know I use 2-3-4.
The Strawberry Lemonade, I was taught it came with the creme base syrup and no classic but the dinasours I work with insisted it was made with classic and no creme base at all. They indeed showed me the recipe card proving they were right but...it was the old book. So I went to go check the new book I had to learn when I got hired and saw that it really doesn't bring classic anymore.

@IceCapp, that is exactly how I make the CHCF. I know it's wrong, but I think it makes more sense that way, and I bet they will amend that recipe sometime in the next year anyway.
@Quackers, your dinosaurs are wrong (and no disrespect, I'm a dinosaur too). BSL definitely gets cream base and no classic. You should toss all the old recipe cards anyway, cause that's just confusing.Posted 1 year ago # -
yeah the BSL changed... it gets base now, and no cl.
