so, in AUGUST, I was loaned out to another Starbucks near Penn Station. shortly after, I transferred stores, time rolled on. . . and I forgot that I had a week's worth of tips at another store.
how long does a store hold on to your tips? am I screwed out of my tips now? it won't be that much, but it's my money, dammit.
Yeah there gone. I think the rule is like a month or two. But NO ONE ever keeps them that long. Most stores just put unclaimed tips back in the pool, after about 3 weeks. It's best to get them the week after you cover.
For some reason I get borrowed out a LOT to stores that are a good drive away. Which is fine, but I hate going back the next week to pick up tips when they're maybe $5... Costs more in gas than the tips are worth.
