You wouldn't last a week at the Buck. Everyone knows that venti lattes are for pansies.
Screw you, Sam!

Hey Job, don't pick on Sam. He doesn't even work for the Buck. The real enemy is ILoveSbux.
Posted 4 years ago # -
You're right. I need to chill ouuuuuutttt!
Posted 4 years ago # -
I thinkIlovesbux is kind of like magneto from the xmen.

I agree. Those happy pills are WAY too effective.

jobbamison, count to 10 my friend, sit back, and have a beer or something. No one on this site is worth getting to worked up about. I've been attacked a ton of times on here, its not worth getting worked up. I just have a beer, and laugh about it. I would have a beer anyway, its nice to be able to use that as an excuse though!

Parrothead,
I appreciate the advice, and thanks. I have difficulties with stress management. You know what, though, there are many days when alcohol in moderation sounds way healthier than being as **** off as I sometimes am.
Yr bud,

Always in moderation. I am a bit of a beer geek myself (ok, maybe a huge beer geek) and I always preach quality over quantity! I would rather have one really good beer, then 12 **** ones!

Remember, this site + booze=therapy!

Using beer to relieve stress is like using your head to hammer in a nail!!!
Beer is not an effective stress reliever, anymore than your head is a hammer!!
Posted 4 years ago # -
Yeswehavenobananas, can you expand on that? I disagree 100%. I think it is a great way to relieve some stress. I am not talking chemically at all. I love nothing more then to pour a nice beer into a glass, sit on my patio, and do nothing but enjoy my beer (I might have a cigar with it). That is a good hour, maybe more, where I do nothing but enjoy a great tasting beer. I don't mean to down a 12 pack of rocky mountian **** water, I'm talking about 1 really nice, craft or import beer.
Now how is that anything like using my head as a hammer?

Yeswehavenobananas, do any of the following apply to you:
1. Recovering alcoholic?
2. Recovering barista?
3. Direct relation to ilovesbux?
4. Upon rising in the morning, you chant "My body is NOT a tool box"?
If you answered yes to any of the previously listed conditions, then your asinine comment will be forgiven. Otherwise, I'm afraid you still have some growing up to do. Drinking a quality beer(or in my case, wine) and enjoying a fine smoke after work is usually what grown-ups do.Posted 4 years ago # -
"My body is NOT a tool box"
LMAO!!!! That is great! Thank you! I think that will be my new moto at work!

Can you guys do something about that nitwit ILOVESBUX?

sbuxemployhawaii
I could, but that would seem, well, it just wouldn't seem right. Love them or hate them, they have just as much a right as you do to express themselves. Just becuase you don't like someone, or disagree with them, doesn't mean they should be censored. My advice, don't read what they right, and if you do, don't worry about it. They are only words, take it with a grain of salt. Need to relax? See my post above. Go buy a bottle of Chimay blue, a sit down, and relax.

Actually, I can't have most beers anymore- my juvenille diabetes made a comeback. Any beer reccomendations for a diabetic?
Posted 4 years ago # -
I've finally reached the point where I don't give a durn what sam thinks. Ahhhhhhh. Thanks folks. I'm better now.

WOW DARKROAST... kinda harsh dont ya think??? I was just voicing my opinion. My comments are not asinine, based on the fact that you disagree! Get over yourself and stop making assumptions about people!!!!!!!
Parrothead... to expand would probably be a waste of my time seeing that people are going to be quick to jump all over my case!! I will however say that I do thank you for your respectful response to my post! I just was reading along and expressing my opinion.

For the record, I agree with Yeswehavenobananas on the issue of beer as a deceptively effective stress reliever. Alcohol is not very good for one's cortisol levels, much like coffee, actually. However, beers does give the IMPRESSION of stress relief, and for me, that's often enough. Dayum, that beer tastes good.

Again, I am not saying, chemically, that beer calms me down. Beer gives me an "excuse" to relax, and take it easy for a half hour or so. Much like painting, or reading. I could do the same thing by drinking coffee, or Mountian Dew, or water. I prefer to drink a beer. If you have a beer, and you relax while doing it, its not an "impression" of being relaxed, you are relaxed.

my apologies, if I offended you, yeswehavenobananas. I felt you were being judgemental in your comment. I guess as parrothead says, it's whatever creates the environment, so to speak, to the individual.
I just randomly recalled homer simpson saying "alcohol, the cause and solution to all man's problems"....ain't that the truth?Posted 4 years ago # -
I really don't know what I'm talking about with the whole beer thing. Parrothead, you are correct. Relaxation is a very personal thing, and I didn't mean to indicate anything to the contrary. And, like we agreed earlier, moderation is the key.

Where did sam go?
Posted 4 years ago # -
I was wondering the same thing, then I stopped.
Posted 4 years ago # -
Well, sam said he "just stumbled" onto this site, so maybe someone slipped some hooch into his venti latte, and he just stumbled off the site too. wacky.
