Had a panic attack after a panic attack after women poured their drinks on the counter, screamed at me over charging for extra shots or syrups. Sat in the back and realized my hours were cut from 36 to 8 hours for the next two weeks. Not even talked to about that. My manager knows nothing about coffee and how to count cash or reassign a new till. Homeless people shower in the bathroom and I have to spend all my tips and most of my paycheck just to get to and from work safely. **** this, I'm out. Love you guys and stay strong
Bye

Jealous. Good luck friend!

"Jealous"? Couldn't you quit any time nyc? Unless you are a 21st century slave.

When welfare pays more than your job, and you are available open to close daily it's time to get the hell out. I'm going to sit home and recover for a bit and look for a job where I never have to hear someone freak out over something as simple as coffee. Petty people. I might lurk a few more weeks on here. You guys are what got me trough the last month. Thank you.

Good luck Sugarwater. I wish you the very best.

@SugarWater, please do. As a past or present partner, there will always be a place here for you. Again, good for you for getting out and I'm sure you'll find a plethora of better opportunities in time.

I'm sorry to see you go Sugarwater. Starbucks has broken me as well but I'm just toughing it out until I learn more about my other prospective jobs.
@BananaWalnut: I always thought that Starbucks was a last resort job. To quit Starbucks means that you've either found better employment or just can't take the nonsense anymore.

@BananaWalnut No, actually I can't. I have bills to pay and a useless college degree. Give me a break.

I hate when people act like "you can totally walk away at any time" when it comes to wage slave jobs. Yes, there is a certain degree of personal choice when it comes to working, but it's kind of naive to assume that we can just peace out whenever we'd like.
@nyc, I too have a useless college degree and bills to pay- same boat. I certainly don't feel like I have a choice, have been hunting for other jobs to no avail, so yeah, I'm kind of stuck here, too.

Hollerrr at useless college degrees. I'm waiting until the perfect moment to visit my alma mater with my diploma and use it to burn down one of their precious buildings.

The kicker is my alma mater keeps calling me to ask for money. It makes me want to screammm.
