So I work at the busiest store in my region and I live in a major city. This couple comes in and the store is empty so I'm fine with handling their request - until they decide to get 15 5$ gift cards. . .I'm not even done activating them all when there's a line to the door and I'm the only one on register. Not to mention they have the nerve to ask me to put a card holder on every single one. Are you f-ing kidding me?

Take out a stack of cardholders, select and swipe those Starbucks cards quickly. I could probably do all 15 in under 2 minutes if they didn't hand me the cards one by one. Oh, and you can just throw the cards all into a small shopper with the cardholders, and tell them that they can place them into the envelopes themselves.

Hopefully this helps: you can activate cards easily with the quantity button as long as they're all the same amount. Then you just slide slide slide and you can be done in like a minute. Sucks about the customers though. Sound like a bunch of entitled pricks.

bottom left of the screen... hit quantity>15>activate starbucks card...enter the amount then it will prompt you to swipe each card successively without having to do anything else.

it's the same button you use to enter the amount of syrup pumps if someone modifies them

I don't even remember the last time I had time to experiment on the POS. Nowadays I'm rushing to brew coffee and restock my teas, cups and lids when I'm on register. Stupid system logs me out the moment I turn my back on it.

I AM SAVED!! I'm always on register and ALWAYS seem to get everyone who feels generous and wants to get like 20 $5.00. Then I get a line, OF COURSE. Either there was a line, or no one was in the store, until gift card person. I'm pretty fast with them anyway, but this quantity button discovery is gonna change my life.
And hell no, I don't put the cards in the envelopes. Our regulars are super spoiled, but that **** ain't happening. I'll give you everything in a little pastry bag, have a nice day.
