Since my store is in the seattle area i constantly had customers call pike place "pike street" and it drove me insane. On a rare occasion id have someone order a "cafe ole" WHAT the eff is that? anyone? I have never heard of this before and never figured out what exactly it is.

Someone ordered a DIRTY MOCHA and when I looked at her confused she got mad that I didnt know what it was. Supposedly its a mocha with an add shot and caramel.

@complex_simplicity00: Mochas are already "dirty." We only call a drink dirty when we add espresso shots to a beverage that normally wouldn't get any e.g. chai tea lattes.
In this case, you are correct to be confused. I would have said, "Ma'am, mochas are already dirty. What exactly do you want in your drink? More espresso or something?"

I overheard a regular on the phone today order her "iced venti nonfat ristretto shot latte" tell the person on the phone "oh, ristretto is a different type of coffee." *facepalm*

The zebra mocha, newsprint mocha, penguin mocha, tuxedo mocha etc. is just a way to say that they want it half white mocha half dark mocha. Why people have to make up five billion different names for it I don't know. Hot chocolate that way is actually really really good. :D

I got two interesting ones last night. Two cops pulled in around closing time and asked me to make them a "Quarta Coffee Ice-o-ccino" and a "Stethoscope Mocha". When I heard him say them I wanted to die. He was told a Stethoscope Mocha was a type of extra sugary Mocha. @_@
