So we got our new mastrena in today, after they left I noticed the screen on the machine kept getting all messed up. Is this normal? Or should we call them back in??

The words on the screen of our mastrena get all chopped up when it idles for a while. I'll go to start steaming milk and it will still say ready but it will be cut in half horizontally and the top part will be on the left side and the bottom part will the on the right. It eventually goes back to normal. I wasn't sure if this should be a concern since it is my first time using this machine. We just got rid of our Verismo.

So long as it's pulling shots correctly (like the grinder isn't off its gears and it's not pulling 40second (or worse, 4 second) shots, and the autotemp sensor in the steamwand is functioning correctly, it should be cool.
It might fix itself, computer wise, after turning it off or even cutting the power to it altogether via the switch underneath on the right side (it's pretty hidden, but findable), but if it doesn't, you'll need to call Enterprise (or have a shift or management do it) and get a tech in there. It seems like a superficial problem and I'm pretty certain I've seen it before.
Generally, there's a little cardslot (I think .. on the upper left side?) of the Mastrena wherein, if you have the card (only techs do), you can reprogram the bar's onboard comfuser. That's how they disable or enable the single shot buttons, or enable/disable/reset the time on the digital clocks (which I believe they've disabled company wide because they don't want bar partners being able to, you know, easily tell time and know when they have to get their **** done and how much time they have to do it (I think their excuse was 'clockwatching'), so on and so forth.
I mean, otherwise, if it's working correctly and it's only the digimal readout screen that's messed up, you should be fine until the tech gets to it.

Use some spare timers (our classic white ones do have a time switch on'em) and station them in strategic locations. That's what I've been doing.

I wouldn't touch a white timer unless I have to. It is the cause of all of my frustration because it beeps every 8 minutes!

It don't beep if it's telling you it's time to kick these shitsmeared mongoloids out and lock the doors.
It sings.
