When the new pitchers came out the No-Foam method was actually detailed in our DM's email. Mainly because he HATES the sound of screeching... as do your fellow baristas. You fill milk to the line above the size they order, aerate as usual, then let it sit for a few seconds. Then I scoop the foam right from the pitcher, it's easier to see when the foam is gone especially with whole milk. Or you can bang the side of the pitcher with the spoon which should bring the bubbles up to the top.
Either way... no foam folks are going to have to wait a few seconds and you are going to have to waste milk. If they bring a drink back to me I'll steam a bit extra, overfill and scoop off the last bit of foam. But I don't hand out recovery certificates, I don't do refunds and I'll top a drink off I won't remake it because there's a layer of foam. If they continue to ****, just inform them that heated milk is always going to have some foam that rises to the top as the drink cools and if they want no foam, get it iced.
