OK, so there is nothing worse than already being annoyed with customers, but when you have to tell them you are "out" of something, then it is even worse!! Has anyone else been running out of bananas? We ran out of bananas, and we are turning away Vivanno customers. Today I suggested that we GO BUY SOME at the grocery store, and the response I got was "Don't you know the PRICE of bananas right now? Our store cannot afford that!" blah blah blah. So here we are telling customers we have no bananas, yet they are on our menu. I know we ordered bananas, but they haven't been sending them. Wouldn't you think that it would be more important to actually spend money on bananas at the store rather than turning away customers? I am so irritated!! Then another partner offered to take the "P Card" and go buy some, and of course, the response was "it's too expensive and they were just seasonal anyhow".........well then WHY are they STILL on our menus??

We had the mint mocha chip frappuccino as a promotion so it was up on the menu and on a sign in chalk next to the register. We ran out of the mint syrup, and couldn't get anymore from the warehouse. For a month, both signs were up and we had to turn away hunderds of MMCF customers. I suggested "maybe we could take the sign down..." and the shift was afraid to, since the SM put it up. So I told the SM and he said it was the promotion, and we had to keep the signs up or the DM would be ****. So we're promoting a product we don't have. How hard would it have been to draw a line through the "mint" part?! Customers weren't blind to it either, I got a lot of "so why is it still on the menu..." or "but it's your promotion!" comments.

Has anyone heard that Vivanno's are seasonal/promotion? I thought they were staying on our beverage line up. There has been no communication from anyone that Vivanno's are done with. How weird?? I hate making the MMCF though. Those are so annoying. I am glad those are going away. I think the vanilla + protein is not a big seller at my store either.... they are making us offer it to every customer. And then all the shifties and ASM and SM sit in the lobby and watch us to make sure we are doing it.

I've only seen one protein latte made at my store. The barista had to take the pitcher to the back and wash it with high pressure to get the nasty gunk out!

You are out of bananas because your manager cant order properly! And yes, you SHOULD use the p-card to go buy bananas. Or at least see if a sister store has some!!
Vivanno is NOT a seasonal beverage, it is here to stay!! My intestines really dont like them but yet I continue to drink them.......

I would think not getting them would, or could potentioal cost more then getting them. People will start going somewhere else (with Starbucks, the next one is normally not that far away) to get what they want. Spend a few bucks to keep your customers happy.

They simply should have gone and bought bananas, if they couldn't borrow them from another store. To be out is stupid, when there is such an easy fix. As a DM, I would have given the SM a corrective action for that boneheaded call.

has anyone else seen their store switch to frozen bananas? that's what we did. the fresh banana thing lasted a couple days. now it's freezer-time, baby.

Where did you get the frozen bananas? We have run out again, and our DM had us buy some. Now our DM says we are not allowed to buy them. It's ridiculous!

**** vivanno. they are nasty and take too many steps to make.

We always have to throw out decent bananas (because for some reason, they make us peel a bunch and keep it in a container for one day maximum, I guess so we can make the drinks fast), but honestly, we sell 1 vivanno a day if we're lucky, and we're a fairly busy Starbucks!
And don't get me started on turning away customers because of things we didn't have
We usually stop brewing dark roast in the evening, or any special blend, so we don't have that to offer at night even though many people ask about it. There has been countless times where we have to turn away people because we ran out of SHC base (usually we just make a new batch very fast though), or anything that has apple juice (our orders are hard with that for some reason). I remember there were a few times where we ran out of coffee cream. Yesterday we ran out of those dark chocolate curls and pumpkin powder. We ran out of whipped cream (I started yelling at people to quickly make me one but a) there were no chargers left, and b) there were no cartons of whipped cream so everyone was running to the back getting those :P )
My supervisor told me to put peppermint whipped cream on a vanilla bean frappuccino though. LOL :/ I wonder how that tasted ...Posted 4 years ago # -
Vanilla and peppermint should be ok. Peppermint on chocolate (not mocha cream based) should be good too!

There is just no good reason to not buy bananas, I had to take our P Card out 2 days ago to go buy some it was only $4 for a dozen bananas, at $4.04 per drink i would say that it is worth it. Tell you SS to check the portal, they should still ba able to find the notice that says if your store is out of bananas you ARE to take the P Card and buy some.

unless you have a DM that only cares about her bonus and does not want to see any P card purchases.......idiots!
