Ok so i've only been working at starbucks for a month and i already hate it. I have a crappy manager- his story is in my very first thread if you want to look it up. But anyways today was just one of those days were everything went wrong X100. I don't even know where to begin. So it already started out badly because I had to open and I had a grueling 8 hour shift plus overtime so that makes 9 or 10 hrs. So today I wake up with a sore throat...I can feel my self getting sicker and sicker as I type this. I slept like 2 hrs btw. So I open up, am alone for the first 5 hrs since we are a licensed store. This morning it seemed like everybody was spilling drinks. Like 6 people spilled drinks in a row! like how stupid can people get? And i had to clean it up and remake the drinks in the middle of morning rush hour. Like UGH! I had some really rude customers today...more than the usual **** and some creepers. So im gonna write about some of the aholes i encountered today.
Well this couple came in with their spoiled brat son. The wife ordered a strawberry lemonade. Now what do you think of when you hear that- the blended strawberry lemonade right? So I make it for the damn kid and the husband comes and gets it. He's like "oh this is blended? Im like yeah. He's like well we didn't want it blended!" So im like "okay well how would you like it?" and he's like "well we wanted it on ICE!" like really rudely too! like dude calm the fvck down. So im like well would you like me to remake it for you?" and he's like no no he'll (his brat son) drink this one but we've gotten it here before on ice". But the way he said it was like he was trying to make me feel guilty and stupid. So I wasn't gonna take this crap...his tone of voice was bothering me. So I said "well your wife didn't say she wanted it on ice, she should've specified. How am I supposed to know how you like it if you've only gotten it once that way?" like seriously im not a mind reader. Stupid ****. and then i glared at him. like i was not going to take that from him. I offered to remake it for him and he acts like I killed his cat.
So a few hrs go by...and im tired and so tired of these customers with their stupid drinks. So next mememorable customer was this guy and his wife. Both of them were mid to late 30s. At first I thought they were pretty nice since I've seen them before getting coffee and they seemed cool. Also I thought his wife was pretty today since she was wearing a dress. So I take their order and they get two grande coffees. Okay cool so I give it to them and the wife goes to the condiment bar while the husband stays and pays. I comment on how pretty his wife looked. Guess what he says!? He like "yeah she is" and the he leans in and says to me "But she's a total cee u next tuesday." And his wife was really within earshot. Like wooowwwwww. I was like oh really? I was shocked. Total jerk and creeper. and then hes like to me "ill be seeing you around in this horrible creepy tone and winked" barf.
By the time this day was about to end I didn't give a crap. but it did lighten up a little bit when I messed with this biatchhh customer. So this woman comes and she's totally barking her order at me, doesn't even say hi. Her total comes out to 4.57. She pays with a 20 and 47cents. I guess she wanted 16 bucks back and I noticed she was missing a dime. SO just to spite her and I put the cash in the cash register and closed it and gave her 15.90. She freaks out and says how much was the order. I say 4.57. Shes like how much did i give you?!!!!! well you gave me 20.47 so that's your change. she literally loses her **** and starts freaking that now she has to carry some change. So I was like whoops sorry about that in the most obviously fakest voice I could muster. And her face was priceless!!!!!!! I've never seen someone so disturbed. It was hilarious and the guy behind her was trying so hard not to laugh. So she's like open up the cash drawer again and give me a dollar instead of this change. I tell, nope, no can do I cant do that once I've closed it you have to buy something in order for me open it again (a lie of course). and she just stared at me for like 15 seconds and I told her "have a nice day! come back again!" and she was staring at me like she just saw a ghost or I was a psychopath. So funny. Biattchhh deserved it being so rude from the get go. Plus shes pathetic for freaking out over some change. So when she left the guy behind her busted out laughing like crazy and said that really made his day!
But overall today was crap.
