I got to sample the tarts the other day. The my co-workers already ate all the pies. Does anyone else think these are small, dry and tasteless? You need to eat them with coffee or the dust sticks in your throat. And $1.50? They are slightly larger than an Oreo. Also, a tart is like a little mini pie. Remember the lemon tarts? These have crust on the bottom and the top with very little filling. I just don't get it. Who taste-tests this stuff?

I don't know, I really liked the chocolate hazelnut one. Like, a lot. I'm not entirely sure anyone else got to sample them.

I spit the chocolate hazelnut one into the garbage as soon as I took a bite, it was so disgusting (but then I hate hazelnuts so I was kind of expecting that). The other tart was ok. not bad but not good either, just very bland and dry. the pies were pretty good, a little to sweet though. our store also just got the paninis... the tomato moz one is really good, the rest are pretty sucky though.

the paninis ain't new, darlin'. they've been around for a while.

I know, that's why I said we just got them in my store. they launch tomorrow in our market, no need to be condescending.

I don't know how they taste yet. I just keep staring at them in the freezer. They look so suspicious.

My store is filled with fat **** so I didnt get to sample a damn thing when we got them last week.
Posted 1 year ago # -
^^Haha I know how that is. There is this fatty who buys 6 blueberry scones everyday and eats them in one sitting. Like gross!!!!

I loved everything. Also, it probably helped that we kept the samples on top of some machine in the back that's super warm, so everything was soft and tasty.
I'm still only getting them if they're markouts, though.

They're all OK.
And on the aforementioned topic of paninis, the santa fe is amazing with sriracha sauce.

I didn't even know we had them for sampling, then I saw some cookies and tried em. They were okay, but they are one of those things that kind of grow on you.Where like a day later, they sound REALLY good. Then there was a loaf of some sort?? Chocolate, with waaaaay too much nutmeg in it. I didn't really take to that one. Didn't even see the pies around. But we put our promo up today, and alll the customers were asking for them.

the cinnamon chocolate loaf. h.ly sh.t i think if a cinnamon swirl and a brownie had a baby this is what it would taste like. it is heavenly

I REALLY don't like the cinnamon chocolate bread... and I didn't try the chocolate hazelnut tart because I don't like hazelnut. But... the other tart and both pies were fantastic, like I was off the past 5 days (tomorrow's back to lovely work, yayyyy) and I had to go in and do a few things and it happened to coincide with pie samples. So of course I opened them and sampled them before anyone else at my store got a chance to, I justified it to my manager by saying "well, if I don't try these now then I'm not going to know how to describe them to customers when I come back on Wednesday". And then today I was in again and all our fatty customers were eating all the samples... like my manager had a bunch out, this guy tried one, goes "OMG IT'S REALLY GOOD" and then took the rest of them, like 6 samples. She comes over to where I was standing and is like, "just because it's good doesn't mean you get to take ALL of them..." some people are so super rude.

I had the cinnamon chocolate bread foisted on me today by this one barista who could probably sell me her beachfront condo in Wyoming. I tried it and didn't like it.
I heard her ask her co-worker later, so what do you think of that cinnamon chocolate bread? "Oh i hate it! You like it?" "hell no, yuck!"
Haha. Oh well, it's your guys' job to sell product. No harm done. :)

Food from Starbucks usually blows.
...I don't know why I thought of this, but I might as well share...
so one of my opening mornings or something, I think it was a Sunday or whatever. Doesn't matter. It's me, the shift on duty, and some baristas and we're having a good time because our **** piece of **** poor excuse for a **** human SM is not working that day. We send off one of the baristas for McDonald's breakfast. She comes back with food and drinksand she has
*drum roll*
McDonald's coffee for herself.
We looked at her like
WTF!?
