Okay...so I've deduced that I DO have to be in the starbucks network to access this. Can I bring in like my own computer and look it up? Cause I've neverrr seen anyone on the computer except when new people were training so I don't really know how that goes...

Use the desktop computer at work! Go onto the store portal there (it should be one ofthe icons) then on the drop down list click barista.

honestly though just look at the book. nobody cares and no one will judge you. even if they do who cares. hahaha i look at it all the time.
there are several different resource manuals you have access to via the portal. the manual that has every beverage standard is the beverage resource manual (BRM) there is likely a hardcopy of the BRM in your store. The coffee resorce manual has all sbux standard info about different coffees (beans, roasting ect) there are several other equipment and operations resource manuals available as well.
Yeah, there should be paper copies of all the manuals in your store. There's one for beverages, one for coffee, one that tells you how to clean everything. They're good for when someone's being a d-bag and you need to prove them wrong.
Only problem with the printed manuals is that they are loose leaf notebooks and every time there is an update, the old info is supposed to be removed and the new info put in. If manual updating is as half-assed as everything else, I wouldn't be so sure that I was winning any d-bag battles.

On an unrelated note, I was so happy when I won the C vs. CR battle with my shift. He inSISTED that it had ALWAYS been CR for caramel (I worked at a different store with a break in-between, but we started at about the same time) and I'm like, yeah right, effer. I checked it on Simphony and I was like, BOOM. ****hat.
simphony has some weird markings, (like SKSL for skinny syrup latte and CRM for cream) but caramel has definitely always been C (CR is for drizz). I've seen some partners write C for classic and CR for caramel... It irks me.
2Hot, I think those are either kinda old or only for licensed stores. We don't have the almond syrup anymore, and our syrup defs isn't fortuna. Wait, and a blended caramel cinnamon latte? Creamice Latte?

Hate to ruin the bubbles, but it's C for the syrup, and CR for the sauce. :X You could even write "CR" in the syrup box, like for a CM with more CR instead of V. Weird, huh? At least, that's what the old-schoo' texts say.

2.) click on an icon called "Portal" or somesuch
3.) user: from the drop down menu in the program, select Barista
4.) password: tomato
5.) find something to read :)
P.S. 100% of starbucks employees do not follow standard in some way, shape, or form. So don't worry about it. It's nice to know, but don't enforce it on others. You'll just get hated on. Let the higher ups do it.
