Hi everyone. I started at Starbucks just about two months ago. I might be reading way too much into this, but I figured I'd ask for some advice if anyone has some.
Yesterday this guy came and got a soy no water no foam chai. I steamed a little extra milk and made sure I made hardly any foam so I wouldn't mess it up. I poured his drink, was about to put a lid on it, and he goes, "Foam off the top please." Took me off guard, since there were only a few bubbles at the top - I didn't even think of that as foam. But whatever, I scooped off whatever I could, and then handed it to him.
I normally would have been falling all over myself apologizing, but I just handed him his drink (and then knocked over a bunch of lids ha). I wasn't trying to be rude. A girl I work with and I started to pick them up and the guy asked for my name, I told him and he thanked me and I said you're welcome. I can only think that he would ask for my name because he wanted to call and complain, but I'm not sure. It makes me wonder like, am I really going to get a complaint over something like this?
The shift I was working with said he looked over when the guy said something and there was no foam on the drink. He said he would have made it the exact same way, and the guy was just being ridiculous. So I'm not sure. He also said to have our SM talk to him if it does turn into something. I go in again tonight, and I'm just anticipating what, if anything, might happen. Thanks for reading :)
