My ex (Thank God) manager, fired one of my best friends who was a shift supervisor at the starbucks on mockingbird & 183 for being a couple minutes late. He said he'd talked to the district manager and he felt like it was time to let her go. That was friday.. Sunday, He was supposed to open, at 4:30 in the morning... as the other employees arrived, time past, 4:30, 4:45, 5:00... no one to open the store. despite trying to call this manager, over, and over, and over again... the store remained closed. So they had to get ahold of one of the other shifts who wasnt scheduled that day. She felt like being nice, and came in. And tried to call the manager about 10 times with no answer.. Finally, at 11am he shows up 6 1/2 hours late..... without an apology, starts working.. and probably not very hard at that. See, he has a "band" that he thinks is good. He goes out on the weekends and schedules himself to work in the morning.. maybe because he let all his best shift supervisors go (me) ;) I wonder if the district manager will feel like it's time to let him go as well? something should be done. hmm.

I would have called about four times, told everyone else not to call, and just sit outside ... waving to everyone as they passed, telling them all to call corporate and complain...
