We finished up with a bang. 300+ yesterday and another 300+ today.
Mow if you'll excuse me, Jameson awaits.

My arm and shoulder actually got sore from todays massacre
Argh I'm so happy frappy hour is is over. We have some new partners and they're not very up to speed yet, so some days it was hell. Some weren't. Today was slow as usual - on Sundays we don't make much anyway.
Well I love frappaccino's but good god people.. I had 3 people today try to get the discount before 3..like really? there is a large bright sign saying 3-5pm.. i'm not going to make an exception just for you. Then there are people who order 5 fraps..all similar but very customized and then they are finished at the bar and they want it made with 2% milk not Non-fat..or one extra pump of whatever...
Happy Hour on a warm weekend afternoon in NYC was a recipe for disaster. I was primary on bar for the entirety of the event. If I even stopped for a second to catch my breath, the customers would hound me to make their frappuccino.
At the end, I had to remake drinks for at least 7 customers whose frappuccinos were stolen. I was beyond mad by the time I finished.
i feel you on the drink-stealers. today i tried to be proactive by asking the people huddled around the hand off "WHAT DID YOU ORDER?" and then appropriately give them the drink they had asked for. but at least a dozen people were like "oh, no, i didn't order anything." and i'm like WELL GET THE HELL AWAY FROM THIS AREA. ffs what is wrong with people.
also, we were averaging 250 fraps every day until today, where we somehow made 585 on a four person floor. unbelievable. my boss randomly walked in to pick up her shoes and ended up ringing for me on my till while i ran around "floating" which was basically running around like a headless chicken getting cups, lids, milk, whips, dishes, napkins, straws, then cash (because we kept running out of change). i don't even know how i'm still awake to write any of this.
I'm just .. more unhappy with how it all happened than that it simply did. Truly, nothing but sorrow. Also, now I'ma unsticky this topic!
I uh, guess I can't wait for all the crappy Indivisible merch to come in. You know, more coffee that tastes like roadkill broth (aged sumatra and all) and more bread and circus wristbands and CDs and other such horseshit from Grand Emperor Führer Schultz and his throng of dread barons, all drunk on their own sense of entitlement trying to push us, their service sector minions, into pawning off their ill-fated attempt to show shareholders, customers and swingvoters alike that they actually care about the middle class.
Not us, though, we're not really middle class. Kind of the lowest rung of the ladder here. Plus, we get all that sweet hot nationalistic swag for free. AMERICA!
I was on vacation all week and yesterday was te only frappy hour I worked. I was running on 0 hours of sleep from the trip home and went straight to wok when I got back. My SM said frappy hour wasn't too terrible all week, there were spots here and there but overall it was manageable. Boy was I in for a shock.
She scheduled me with 3 people who were only trained on bar, two of which can't make cold drinks. I had two on DT (one of whom was making frappuccinos) and one on front register. My front reg and one of my DTs were scheduled to leave at 3:30. The only person coming in next was late. The only one who could make frappuccinos with me had to leave at 4 which is the exact moment we ran out if milk. Line out the door with 50 frappuccinos on queue. So I had to go get milk and my CBS barista was angelic enough to stay. Then the SS who was coming to relieve me was 30 minutes late and d!icked around in the back for another 20 minutes. When she got on the floor I counted out and left. And them I went home an cried. And it was nobody's fault but our Sshield oculus schedule and whoever opened on Friday who didn't order enough of ANYTHING to hold us over. What an awesome homecoming I had!
holy ****, that sounds really unpleasant, caffiene high!! i doubt i wold have kept my cool in that situation.
