I just started at Tarbucks, they pay us starting 12 and hour but we get no freebies or anything.

I worked for a Tarbucks for 7 months before applying for a corporate starbucks, which Ive been working at for 2 months. Seriously the best decision! Everyone who is slaving away at Target should also. At target, you were always by yourself, scared because ETLS were always on your **** about being clean your a monthly steritech inspection, having to deal with working over at food ave because they would be on their break, and so much more. Granted working for a Corporate starbucks is a little harder but all of the benefits you get and the partners you work with are the best.

^lol, I like your name :)
yah, I think I'm gonna transfer to a corporate SB. I've been mulling over the idea for a few days and I think it's time for me to leave my sheety Tarbucks.
@kevin dafuq? You get paid $12 and you just started? What state do you live in?

No kidding $12 ??!!? That would be worth a lot of crap eating and manager sucking up to for me. LOL I started at just over 8, and that is only because I worked at Target for a year before Tarbucks opened.

i work for a Tarbucks too and hate that we can't get tips & only have 7 employees. what the worst part is, you get all the damn frappuccino drinkers that shop at target & don't know what real coffee is. i had one lady call me a racist for not giving her a sample, because apparently i saw her among all the other 100 people at our front lanes! i've considered applying to a regular starbucks but i'll miss my $11 an hour. Barista Problems ;[

I too have thought about applying to a regular Starbucks, but keep mentally clinging to what I consider Tarbucks benefits....
1. No cleaning restrooms
2. Cleaning crews do our floors etc.
3. No drive through
4. Don't have to be there earlier than 7:30, and no massive morning rush...Posted 11 months ago # -
I think all licensed stores have that no tip thing in common.
I'm not allowed to take tips either...there's a huge camera above but I really don't think they look at it. I like to take the change people leave me. But if they offer like a dollar or something, I decline.
We get very frequent evaluations and mystery shoppers every month both from the company and from the airport itself.
The only good thing I think is that most people I see today, are not going to be the ones I see tomorrow. Minus the other airport employees that of course I'm going to see every day. I wish they could disappear sometimes.
Edit. Also, thank God I don't have to clean rest rooms. I feel sorry for those that do. I'm not saying I'm above it, because I've done it before and I know how much it blows.

I work in a licensed store and we accept tips. We have a tip jar and we just hand it over to customer service in our till at night. Whenever one of us gets a big tip we pocket it. Everyone agrees that's fine and sometimes we split it with whoever we're working with. We don't get any benefits and we get started at minimum wage. Highest I've ever gotten in tips at the end of the week was about $25 maybe?
It's split among us somehow by hours worked. We only have 5 girls running this place which includes myself. We don't get much business. In fact there's a LOT of downtime.Posted 11 months ago # -
Bahhhh, getting so much $$ at the Tarbucks? I'm incredibly jealous, Tarbucks1. Do NOT do Food Avenue or even cross train there. Steritech hell!
I, too, am at a Tarbucks. Closed tonight by myself...as usual. It it Target's buy one get one free Frappucino special. Yes, you read that right. I was by myself for 3+ hours and NONE of the mid-shift stuff had been done. 5 fun days of this and I got 4 closes of the 15 available shifts.
My team lead does not do the schedule, so I cannot give her grief about it. Though I have complained that on my weekend 'ON' I close, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Shorter shifts and less hours. Not like I have bills to pay or anything. We do not get to use the dishwasher since it is for Food Avenue only.
There are some perks though. Target discount. Occasional cashier shifts to mix things up. Really really close to home. Excellent co-workers as a whole.
@Closing coffee, no morning rush? Try a Sunday morning in the buckle of the Bible Belt? And do it alone with the hopes that the closer finished everything up the night before.
/End rant...Thanks to all for reading. 2:05am EST. I should be sleeping like a normal person.

You can't use the FA dishwasher?? That's bs. I probably use it on things more than I should.

training at Food Ave is the worst decision you can ever make in your life... just saying!

I went from a corporate Starbucks to a licensed Starbucks.
I have better customers. Am getting paid about 50c more. Tips are kiiiiinda the same, but my tips were horrible before too.
I don't have to do as much cleaning.
I don't get the weekly bean mark out (never used it for myself anyways)
Don't get the 3-5 drink mark outs daily (never drank anything anyways)
Don't get benefits (Couldn't afford them anyways)My customers aren't AS bad, but they complain about us vs regular Starbucks anyways.
The store I work for, which the Starbucks is licensed under has better discounts than Starbucks could offer me.Posted 10 months ago #
