I'm worried now because of this lay-off talk. I've heard my SM talking about it to a couple of shifts (who I think should have had a meeting in private--not when people are walking in and out of the back room, but that's just me and my more-management-experience opinion...). I knew it was coming... but who makes the call?
My "availability" will be changing *slightly* at the beginning of next year because of school. I tried to maintain the same class times but I had to take one more class and so that is going to mess up JUST one of my slots of availability. Will this mark me for the ax?
Also, my attitude may not be the best (could you guess??), but I'm pretty awesome at the job (not that it's that hard--but you'd think with some people it's rocket science...). I do really well on the bar and for as much as one CAN master the DTO/register I have those down as well. So when they say "low performing partners"... does that mean people who hardly ever work? Or people who's "performance" isn't 110% this-company-isn't-shitting-its-pants-so-let's-all-just-put-on-a-happy-face-and-serve-some-coffee-and-sing! Because I'm fo' sho' not that kind of "partner"...
