i just transferred from my licensed store to corporate one in the beginning of may, and i'm wondering how long it's going to take to get my partner card. obviously i have no problem getting the discounts at my store, but i like to go to other locations.
none of my coworkers could remember how long it took them to receive it...any input?
It took me a few months. However as long as you know your partner numbers and provide an ID to confirm it's you, you can still get the discount & there should be no problem at other stores. (:
It's supposed to come to the store. I never got mine until the 40th anniversary partner cards came out and everyone at the store got new cards.
It's about 6 months. Also, what spoodle said.
been there a month and haven't gotten an "official" one, but in the training packet they gave me there was a paper temporary one i use at other stores.
same as annabelle, I got my official card after about 3 or 4 months, but before that I had a paper one.
i never got a paper one because i didn't go through any training here...but i'll definitely give my numbers and id :)
I called Partner Resources after 4 months and asked about it - was told I could request a replacement one but that it would take a while, but then it arrived about 2 weeks later at the store. Another partner who was hired 3 days before me didn't get theirs for another couple of months.
It took 4 months-ish for me to get mine, but some newbies at my store said theirs took even longer. They won't send them at all till you hit 90 days. But, I never actually use mine, I just give my numbers and it's rare that anyone even asks for my ID to confirm. Usually they just ask me what my name is. I have better things to do than figure out if other people are using their friends' partner numbers, I know I'm not going to take the time to check ID, I just ask for the person's name and then I'll like make small talk with them, "Oh, what store are you from? Oh, do you like it, blah blah blah..." and I can tell just from that if they are for real, you know?
^ I've actually handed a barista on register my partner card and had them ask me for photo ID. One time I didn't have it but did have my apron in my bag, so I pulled it out to show them.
We give free drinks away to customers every day and yet we give partners a hard time? It's only a 30% discount people.... the photo ID thing is ****.
They are supposed to mail your store your individualized partner card automatically within 3 months. Call the Partner Contact Center at 1-866-504-7368. Try to get a hold of a customer representative through the options. It takes 4-6 weeks for delivery.
If you haven't received your card within the allotted time frames as mentioned above, start being aggressive. Sometimes the cards and other things of importance can be locked in the safe for a year without anyone caring.
And sometimes, they just aren't sent.
mine took 9 months. then i called for it and it came within 2 weeks.
Mine took 13 months. I would ask my old manager periodically but I don't think they ever looked into it, despite what they told me. I was also a little upset that I got the ugly green apron design (no offense guys) rather than the special 40th edition partly transparent partner card, since I was around for that promo. Also, this is unrelated but I'm still waiting for my beach ball and sunglasses from making enough fraps to satisfy the corporate overlords during Frappy Hour Week.
Mine took 6 months. My manager told me to call. A lot of people in my store didn't have one either. They get mailed to the store. I'd call if I were you.
I was there four months before my departure. They promised me one at two months.

The new ones are hella ugly though
