Not enough...
On average, assistant managers, managers and first-line supervisors in retail environments make between $12 and $17 an hour, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The average assistant manager at Starbucks makes approximately $33,500. Starbucks also offers cash bonuses, and pay is adjusted according to a region's cost of living.(ehow)Posted 10 months ago # -
I'd highly recommend you look at glassdoor.com. They have all that info.

Yep. Glassdoor is normally A+, if you can sift out all of the **** off employees first.

Since none of you know me or him and probably never will, I can say my assistant makes $32,200 and that was his starting ASM salary.

That's (in my perspective) decent money. I should go for ASM!

When I used to be a ASM they started me off at $33,000. Then on my 6 month review I got a raise to $33,500. Then 3 months later I got promoted to SM and it bumped me up to $54,000.

Take the position if you plan on hanging around with Starbucks. Whatever your making right now, its almost guaranteed to double your paycheck. It is worth it. Your put on salary, no matter what you still get paid for 40 hrs and most likely you wont be working 40 hrs, plus you bonus every quarter, in my end when I was an ASM Id bonus every quarter about $1600 -$3000 depending on how we did.

Are you an outside higher?
Posted 10 months ago # -
I am not an outside hire. Ive been with the company for 6 years

You have to account for the market you are in, though. Our starting for some SMs several years ago were around 35K. And, our ASMs and SMs usually work more than 40 hrs.

@orangeblossom
look into opening a PDP for ASM *only* if you like/tolerate your DM. at least in my district, ASMs end up doing a lot of buttkissing to the DM.

Your salary is heavily dependent on you location and store volume. So again, check glassdoor.com

For example: ASM salary average is $32,703 a year but in LA County, the average is $40,000 per year.
