So there is this guy who comes in everyday and orders a Grande Non Fat bONE DRY cappuccino and it MUST always be bone dry.
So yesterday I was on bar which I usually am and before he walked up to the register I already had his drink going since the person on till was new and they were ringing up people hella slow I was basically calling the line as I was making drinks. (like a boss...jk) Anywho So i started this guy's cap and since I was in a good mood I was taking pride in making it bone dry, and I used two pitchers. It came out nicely and little did I know he was watching me. So when i went to hand it to him this is how our conversation went.
VVVVV
bone-dry: I just want to take a moment to thank you for making me such a good drink and for scooping the foam in and not pouring it.
me: (surprised because NO ONE ever really thanks us) Aww no problem anytime!
bone-dry: what is your name sweetie?
me:smallsizeb
bone-dry: Well thank you so much, come here I want to shake your hand.
me:umm okay sure.
*he then shakes my hand and slides a 5 dollahhh bill in my hand as if we were making a drug deal.*
It was kinda cool, i mean its not much but hey it could buy a pack of gum or two!
Plus it was the fact he was so nice and genuinely seemed happy. :D
doesn't take much to make me happy...
anyone else ever experience getting random tips? Or even a customer just taking the time to thank you?
