I live in a pretty affluent area and deal with some of the most obnoxious people you can imagine. Funny enough, these same people who feel they are holier-than-thou usually have no class, what so ever. I'm talking about the guy who flashes his wad of hundreds but complains over being charged for soy and doesn't leave a tip or that lady who sits in the corner with her friend and places her bare feet on the cushion of the seat like she's at home or the ones who don't even think you're worth handing money to so they throw it on the counter.. They often think we, as baristas, are stupid or ignorant when in fact, most of the people I work with are in college, or already have their degrees. One of us even has their Master's! But I'm digressing...
I had one guy come in and order a frap. He left a 2$ tip. I smiled and thanked him as I do nearly every customer who gives. Less than two minutes later, he comes to me at the register and asks, "Where's my frap?" I say, "On the bar...?"
He then says, quite loudly, "But I left you a tip!!" Are you **** kidding me?! So did about fifty people before you! NEXXXT!
