   Ok so by now I'm sure all of us are aware of the new decaf policy. With our store, we brew it on demand after 12.

   So all of our decaf lovers are getting their panties in a twist over this ****. They come in and proudly say they want a grande decaf or whatever and I proudly tell them they have to wait 4 minutes for a fresh brew. Well you would think I just told them their dog died by the look on their faces. Most of them moan and groan and let out a pathetic sigh and say "Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnne".

   Well this one **** comes in and asks for a grande decaf. I tell her about the whole waiting thing and she says "I just want one splash and the rest water" (whatever the **** that means). I tell her we have absolutely positively no decaf and she has to wait. She's like "Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnne" Two minutes go by and she's like "Is it ready yet???" No. I ask her if she wants me to make her a decaf Americano instead (since that's what she's basically asking for anyway). She clearly has never been to Starbucks before. I'm pulling the shots and she gets so impatient she says "If I have to wait for that too I'll just have the decaf". uggg. Ok. So I wait for the decaf to finish and when it does I let a few drops go in and then fill the rest with water like she asked. She is happy again with her pointless drink that makes no god damn sense.

   I hate people.

   The decaf thing is working out great at my store. We keep some ground in the basket so all I have to do is hit the button, and there is 1/2 brew in less than 2 minutes. Plus the customers know they are getting the absolute freshest coffee-and I can tell them that if they are upset about the waiting.

   In truth, I was doing that already (not brewing decaf) and sometimes I do it with regular coffee when it is REALLY slow.

    Get used to it, cruisyeyes. Anyone with a modicum of common sense and a work ethic gets dumped on, here. My biggest crime was to suggest people actually fulfill the job description they agreed to and get paid to do...and call people out when they proudly boast about how horrible they've been to the hand that feeds them. Go figure.

    Of course, not everyone here resembles the above remark. I truly think there are some great partners just here to vent and let off some steam. But, there are many here who deliberately sabotaging our future.

    @cruisyeyes: when company policy dictates that decaf is to be "on demand" after 12, and a customer freaks out about this policy, and a partner brews a pot of decaf "on demand" AND offers a decaf americano, as per policy, and then rants about said irate customer ... how does that prompt the "i can't believe any of you work in customer service" remark? I'm curious, and that's the root of my query.

    @ilovesbux: No, dear, it's not the "modicum of sense and work ethic" part that gets you "dumped on," it's the "fanatic loyalty to Howie's ****" part. You make good points here and there, and you appear to mean well, but you communicate your remarks like the annoying fifth-grade teacher's pet who wants to defend "the rules" to each and every dissenter gathered behind the gym smoking their first cigarette and venting about their **** Teacher. Ilovesbux, Teacher isn't watching us here - and if he is (Hi Howard) that's sort of weird, but irrelevant, since none of us are going to get written up for complaining on here. I venture to guess that most of the colorful anecdotes on this site played out in far less dramatic terms than we say they did - most, but certainly not all. Most of us are pretty nice to the customers, but if we've been driven to Googling "I hate Starbucks" to find solace - well, there's a reason for that. It's because (drumrole) WE HATE STARBUCKS. Not the old values, not the old ethics, not the company we used to know and love - but New Starbucks. Who likes New Starbucks? Maybe the customers do, but the partners certainly don't. Why? Because Starbucks is **** its partners to tickle its shareholders.

    If you're going to keep piping the same tune, shut the **** up when I point out that you're being annoying.

How on earth does someone elses post have anything to do with the cogent nature of your post. that is a logical fallacy to say, you didnt understand what i meant because of what you said. no they are two SEPERATE ISSUES, you make no sense because you have the intellect of a thumbtack. so if someone else responds in a manner that you dont feel corresponds to your original post then maybe your point was pitiful at best? ever stop and wonder about that hmm? its okay... i mean we all hate you, might as well look in the mirror and hate yourself too. we hate starbucks and a parrot trying to chirp the company tune is just an ear/eye sore.

    ilovesbux: you name says enough about you, you love starbucks. you are on a website titled "i hate starbucks". you are clearly either at odds with yourself, or just here to be a ****, as previously stated. so why not let the big kids talk about real stuff that matters instead of being the impetuous child here spouting off policy as though it was essential to the way any of us perform our job functions. or that there was a correlation between how well be performed our jobs based on the random rantings on a random internet site. im sure people post things blindly as random thoughts without true purpose or intention in an attempt to blow of steam about a company that is consistently **** them over. and if you dont know that they are then you are more naive than i thought.

    I just don't understand sometimes...I just feel that if you take time to aquire a login name and password and read posts on a site that says "I Hate Starbucks" then get mad because someone expresses how they feel about Starbucks...duh!!!! Don't come on here and try to preach to us about how wonderful your world is...go find a website that says "I Love Starbucks". Unless you are trying to ruffle feathers on here...if that is your point then you clearly have come to the right place.
    Just so you know...this is an outlet to vent...and don't tell me that you have never complained about a customer or rolled your eyes at a ridiculous comment from a customer...
