OK, I sometimes pick up product for my store. OK not sometimes, this averages twice a week. I am always called at home, a couple of hours before and asked to stop at several stores before my shift. So I was finally after months of doing this told to claim my mileage. So, I would look on the chart and find the last person who had gone to those locations and I would copy thier amount of miles, because it was impossible to figure out how many miles it was because I was going "on my way " to work. I thought that mileage should be claimed based on the distance of one location to another! So just last night my asst. confronted me asking how I was figuring my mileage, I explained to her the same as above. She proceeds to tell me that I am only to claim the actual mileage driven that is "out of my way" ! so that limits my compensation to pennies, even though I often have to leave an hour or so early to have time to stop at one or more stores "on my way" !!! This is time consuming!! I once waited 45 min for a lead to be done with the rush and to make time to get the product for me!
Isn't this ridiculous... They are taking advantage of me BIG TIME! Remember that I am "on my way" to work, so I am not even on the clock while I am running around picking up stuff from other stores. Oh and get this I am only a barista, I am not a lead! I am not even authorized to pick up product, or sign for a transfer of product!
I just wanted to get some feedback from all my fellow haters ;-)
Is this wrong??? Time worked is time paid right??
