To the aforementioned scurge of civilization:
Your comments are not welcome. Your arguments are not sound. You are not a supermodel or nobility.
You are a human being, just like the rest of us. Thus, you are in NO position to judge ANYONE.
Go ahead, drink that skinny vanilla latte, hoping you'll keep looking like your teenage daughter to keep your husband from boinking the babysitter. We don't care. We're just doing our jobs.
Please don't come to this site on your high horse, pointing out others' imperfections like they don't know it's there. **** about the over roasted coffee or the way they treat the partners, something worthwhile.
So before you decide that you're better than someone else, consult a psycho-therapist because you're clearly a delusion megalomaniac.
Just sayin'.....

I hate to stereotype but that kind of attitude can be found all over cali. Its weird how it draws them in. People that have nothing better to do than to put down others to make themselves feel better. Its a weird sense of empowerment for them I think.

@coffee247: you're right, we're surrounded by these shallow types out here. It's like everyone has the self-esteem of a 13 yr old and they are compelled to make others suffer through their over-compensation. Uuuugh!

I hate studying at my sbux because a customers always approach me while I'm trying to study. The thing that pisses me off is the fact that I've been a partner for years (since I was 16), and a lot of customers treat me like a kid. When they ask about school, they'll act surprised that I'm attending a university. The classic reaction is, "Wow! I didn't know you were smart! AND YOU'RE A MED STUDENT!" Um, I didn't know the only people allowed to work at Starbucks had to be idiots..? LMAO! **** you Mr. I-pretend-to-have-money, I have a better degree than you & your **** wife, but I'm not rubbing it in your face or look down on you.
I'm telling you guys, the **** they come up with really blows my mind.

i had my degree and i still ended up a **** sbux post grad. maybe i was an idiot for applying but that's another story. one of our partners was a former lawyer from kansas who had argued before his state's supreme court. another was a former administrative assistant at john's hopkins. there was a boy studying at the peabody institute that worked with us and an irish biology major who got duped into working for the bux by a shady exchange program. am i missing anyone - oh yeah- there was a former graphic designer. we were all over-educated and under-paid. also, all of us had serious issues with drugs which may have something to do with winding up in a dead end job like the bux. it's funny bc all the upper management had no college; **** some one or two may not have even finished high school (not kidding). this is not to knock college in anyway or imply it is a waste. bc those people can only work in low-tier management for sbux for the rest of their lives. imagine if the most you would ever make in a year, for the rest of your life, was around 30 grand. it's not going to get any better for them.

funny! pretend-to-have-money..its true most of their 'wealth' comes from credit lol!!!

meanbean- They totally do that on purpose. Those in management cling and worship with blind devotion and little thought to their employers simply because of the fact they know they can't go anywhere else with the same success. If they get laid off there is no where to go but back to the bottom of the totem pole. IloveSbux anyone?

That is so true almost all the people I worked with at my seven dif stores in 9yrs were all over educated for the job and yet people tend to think that all people in the service industry must be stupid. Not stupid just a stepping stone a job on our way to our real job. Although some tend to be afraid to leave and pursue that real job, and end up sticking around way too long. ie ME!

Its why so many SMs and administration are such **** ****. They have a power trip because they feel insecure about their position in life in front of other people who may be better educated or have more potential in life.Good Leadership qualities are overlooked and ignored in the partners that actually possess them. Instead we get immature, unprofessional **** who sometimes dont even have the experience other partners do in management. It really pisses me off, mostly because my SM is so irritating and ****. They never actually try to make sure information is well circulated through out the store, but will sure as **** go off on you about not knowing and talk about how stupid and incompetent you are behind your back to other partners.
Which is funny considering since me and the other baristas and (Some) shift supervisors do more hard labor and work in a day than they will in 6 months. Stupid ****.
