   I think at one time in my life I enjoyed Christmas.....after I graduated from college I chose a career in the hospitality industry - which clearly jaded my point of view of Christmas - in fact I would go so far as to say I hated the time from Thanksgiving to New Years....I left the industry to pursue another career and through circumstances I came back to the industry a few years ago while I was going back to school.....hence I ended up at Starbucks....

   All I have to say this is my 4th Christmas and I am amazed that the retail specialist get away with throwing the same crap up in different packaging...really there is NOTHING NEW this year. Compounding this, the artwork and decorations are unpleasant to say the least. Contining on my rant - Christmas threw up on Nov 7th....Ughhhhh....

   So I had to participate in the set up of this Christmas Hell.....all I have to say to the Marketing J-Holes is that set up is far more complicated than it needs to be with pathetic instructions to say the least. I think it took me 30 min to figure out how put together the damn POS stand - this ridiculouse red and white box which by the end of the week will be covered in syrup and crap. Whatever happened to recycling and saving the earth from excessive waste......oh wait someone needs a job in the BIG GREEN TOWERS in Seattle.

   Got to love it.....

   Nov 7? Are you kidding me? Man, it gets earlier every year. My fiancé turned on the radio the other night, and they were playing Christmas music! Man, I love Christmas and all, but having to put up with it a month before thanksgiving to me is just WAY too early! I might just start ihatechristmasbeforethanksgiving.com or something. Man, its enough to turn anyone into a scrooge. It’s like putting up your Christmas tree in Oct, by Dec 10th, it’s dried out and dead and you need a new one! By the time Christmas gets here these days, I'm almost sick of it!! Man, enough already!

   Wow, sorry everyone, I just went off on a little tangent. Sorry you all had to read that. I'll try and control myself in the future.

   PS you can now get EGGNOG - can I tell how much I hate to steam eggnog - and my favorite customer comment is can I get that non-fat....NOOOOO you can't - SB has that over the top uber fat Eggnog that they water down with some regular milk so that we can steam it without get the steam wand all blocked up.....

   I have to say, I make eggnogg latte's at home, and I love them. I personaly LOVE eggnogg, but you can't get it with rum in it at Starbucks, so I make them at home!

   No, Valentines is Hallmark in the mall, Halloween is a 7-11 holiday and Thanksgiving is just ... too brown and orange.

   Hey don't misunderstand I like eggnog - I just don't like to steam it - it is loud and sticky and bad to work with....tastes good though....

    I will check it out - it is not in stores ie safeway -it is some specialty company - but if you like eggnog - this stuff is to die for.....oh wait it might just kill you :) with the fat and sugar....I like it straight - no dilution with milk.... I went to Safeway last night they have some in stock now - christmas is a coming

    Well, I guess Thanksgiving is next week, and that is the start of the "holiday season" so I guess it’s about that time. I guess being in Phoenix, and it being 90 degrees outside, it’s hard to think about Christmas just yet!

    The holiday decorations and merchandise are almost as nauseating as the holiday food we had to choke down at the holiday meeting! Makes me want to barf. It's too much, too early, and too poorly executed! There are some graphic designers and illustrators who should be fired. Pass the vomit-bucket!

    Personally, I can't stand eggnog, and I think mixing it with espresso is a crime, but I saw eggnog at the grocery store early in October with jack-o-lanterns all over the package, wtf?

    You would think Starbucks could afford to hire decent graphic designers? Its amazing to me what they pass off as festive, that is supposed to get me in the holiday mood? Nice try, but it falls far short.

    i like eggnog.. lol...i know its full of crap though. xmas is another way to rip people off, esp as its usually the time of year when it gets cold and increases your chance of going to a cafe.

    ps. starbucks xmas drinks are crap. and all the new foods suck!

    lord have mercy... i would love to get the idgit who thought up eggnog latte and force feed his **** an eggnog latte that is "extra hot". that is some god awful stench. the decorating is cheesy (dollar store b.s.) just wait till we have to hear the endless drone of whatever horrifying music... i hate christmas at sbux. it is the true nightmare from hell. it makes me want to vomit.
