Ok, a new day has dawned on IHateStarbucks.com.

| Thank the lord for this site!!!! i work for starbux for the money and now totally for the entertainment. i never relized how utterly disgusting people really are. To correct the other dudes comment i make more than a buck over minimum wage..a thank you! but regardless, i dont know what the dealis with this company...its a whole lot scarrier on the inside believe me. i think its funny how they come out with an "aged Sumatra" about a week after that whole tsunami tragedy. only a company like starbux can make a profit off of the deaths of 150,000 people. its not like they are really doing that much either..$2 off every $12 a lb. bag of coffee goes to relief. BIG DEAL! my store alone (which is tiny..no seats) makes about 30,000 bux a week. sad!!! i could really go on for ever on this too...but this site is awsome |

| starbucks is an example of imperialism in the Philippines. Not only that their coffee sucks, it projects a culture that is not consistent with the sensibilities of the Pinoys.
Down with the imperialists! Down with Starbucks |

| Ronnie Cummins, national director of Organic Consumers Assc (OCA), said "Despite repeated pledges, Starbucks is still loading up its coffee drinks with rBGH (recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone)-tainted milk, and buying coffee and chocolate produced under exploitative labor conditions, and in the case of cocoa plantations in Africa, workers who are actually slaves." |

| Congratulations, I came upon this site by accident. Finally someone has the balls to make a complaint, that in numbers could make a difference. I hate the ATT of coffee. The stores act like they are doing you a favor selling you something, they are way overpriced and most important, impossible to deal with should you have a problem. I assume their attitude is, since were the biggest, we don't give a damn. Starbucks should think about another giant that was unresponsive to customers needs and complaints, a little company known as Eastern Airlines, out of business for years (formerly one of the largest airlines in the world) the reason for at least 90% of their problems were a direct result of poor customer care and service, this was quoted in retrospect by several of Easterns former head executives. So Starbucks, maybe change your attitude, I'm sure you will remain in business, but not because of your correcting the situation (you never will) you will propsper becuase you have provided the accepteable "drug" of choice to the masses and like all other junkies, the people don't care where they go or how they are treated, they just need to get that fix. So in closing, I respectfully ask you all at the corporate office to PLEASE kiss my double, vente, decaff, vanilla latte, with non fatmilk, extra hot and with foam ass. |

| I work at Starbucks- I was recently denied a transfer from my store (with a manager that is freakin AWFUL and too self-righteous to admit it)- her reason was that I go off and stock, prep, empty trashcans and clean without the permission of my shift supervisors and so I'm being insubordinant- to this moment, I am in shock that working your tail off can get you in trouble. We've called the Starbucks Ethics line to report her and she's only become more stubborn and arrogant. For any of you out there that have a crappy manager, Starbucks or otherwise, I empathize. And to those customers who treat us like peons, don't tip a cent, and have a cold dimenor every day of your life- go get laid you small-weinered, big butted wankers. We hum the empire theme from "Starwars" each time we pass Starbucks (otherwise known as the Evil Empire)- I recommend it. |

| Check it out. Me, I work at a Starbucks, some people area a-holes others are pretty cool. I\'m not one of those guys that\'s like \"what the F, Starbucks is the place to be don\'t rag on them. Frankly I take advantage of starbucks, I try to take as much crap as I can home, cause one day i know i\'ll quit. But another thing is that I am amazed and overwhelmed at how people are addicted to this. And sometimes I really don\'t the reason. But what satisfies me the most is the how the customer coughs up 3.90 for a macchiato. That is hilarious, i love punching all the xtra this and that. For one thing i\'m an evil bastard. I don\'t tell people how to spend their money, they just come in and $10 will only give them like 2 drinks, I love it. So i don\'t hate it and I don\'t love, I take advantage of it. You guys should see my store...there\'s so much pride it sickens me. But what the hell, I go to college full time and I need a job so until then, I will continiue to drink and steal as much as i can. |

| So i posted earlier about why i was fired from the power-hungry coorporation of Satbucks Coffee Company, but now i am just releasing a list of the stores major faults for anyone who has never been and is curious about the company and their ideas of "legendary service" (baristas that saw that term just cringed im sure...).
1) all the money in the world and not a penny over $12 for their employees hard labor and daily abuse
2) unequal company rights- the social pyramid of starbucks is over whelmingly communistic.
3) their crappy coffee- its brewed stronger, not better.
4) the yuppie scum that we serve continue to have their egos boosted by having what i call "coffee slaves" serve their every stupid whim.
5) we are a HUGE contributer to the obesity factor in america. does it make employees feel better to know they are killing people? not only do people just blob up to the counter and shuffle to pick up their caloric filled beverage, but the starbucks i worked (noticed the ED suffix) had a DRIVE THRU. YES, THE FAT A**ES DIDNT EVEN NEED TO STAND UP TO GET THEIR DRINKS. as stated on Dr. Phils "Obesity in America" program : "only ONE Grande Non-Fat No-Whip White-Chocolate-Mocha, FOUR times a week for a YEAR = 12 POUNDS ON THE HUMAN BODY!" 12 pounds! thats the weight of a two month old baby. or a thanksgiving turkey. or a bowling ball. can you imagine having one of these items glued to your thigh? sick... especially since i had regular customers who came by 2 or three times a day and got VENTI WHOLE-MILK EXTRA-WHIP White-Chocolate-Mochas. god i felt so bad for them, i wanted to keep a defibulator on hand for when their arteries finally clogged and they suffer a massive heart attack in front of me. atleast i got out befor ethat happened.
6)their cult-esque approach to employee training. anyone ever gone to one of the employee diners? scary... they literally cry out "STAR!" then have the employees shout back "BUCKS!" its sick.
i used to read these posts and go "look at these people. theyre so angry about nothing!" but now i know and i wish i had from the beginning... |

| hey. i just got fired today b/c i used a "customer recovery" coupon at another store. hmm why is this a big deal even though no one ever told me not to and my boss is an evil white trailer trash old bleach blonde beyatch? its NOT A BIG DEAL! we wasted over 5 gallons of milk a day anyway. its not like a free tall nonfat latte was hurting anyone! not only was i fired for that, my boss SPAZZED out at me, screaming and ranting so much taht i was sobbing hysterically and threw up in the bathroom (to which case she said "i hope you didnt puke on the FLOOR", then went back to screaming at me) then she blackmailed me by saying that if i gave her the names of other employees that used the coupons that she would "reconsider" her decision... five words to that comment: I AM NOT A SNITCH. i spent six months of my LIFE devoted to that store (from being called in at 4:30 in the morning b/c someone else was too hung over to do their shift; to be siting in the parking lot christmas eve morning for 3 HOURS at 4:45 am b/c the shift manager didnt set their alarm). i was always on time, always dressed appropriatly, always polite, always generous, and always correct on drinks. THIS IS HOW I AM REPAID! god it feels good to vent. well if anyone ever dreamed of suing the company- IM LIVING YOUR DREAM BABY! verbal harrasment, inappropriate company conduct, blackmailing... its so big that my parents got involved and its getting ugly... i can't wait.... |

| What is Starbucks going for? Are they trying to duplicate European coffee? Sure, European coffee is strong, but it's still mellow and flavorful. Starbucks burns the hell out of anything they put hot water into because the water is TOO HOT! So you get a strong hot coffee that tastes like a certain human orifice and burns your tounge. They have nice tea, too, which they burn to death as well. Just gimme the teabag on the side, I'll add some ice and dunk it myself when it cools. |

| Hey SadPartner, the best way to make a blended mocha is by the following. This is for the 16oz size: 3 oz of cold espresso, 3 oz of half and half, 1 oz of Hershey's chocolate syrup (one pump), 1/4 of mocha mix (the mix is an equal amount of Ghiradelli Coco powder and non-dairy creamer together), 70% ice and blend until you're satisfied. DO NOT USE STARBUCK'S ESPRESSO, THERE ARE MUCH BETTER ESPRESSOS OUT THERE.
An Iced Mocha is 1 oz or one pump of Hershey's chocolate syrup 3 oz of espresso or 2 shots, and stir them together, add milk to about 70% of cup and fill the rest with ice. DO NOT USE STARBUCK'S ESPRESSO, THERE ARE MUCH BETTER ESPRESSOS OUT THERE. |

| Wow. One of my co-workers ("partners") just told me how awful and wrong this website was.
I think it's great. And true. I'm a shift supervisor at Satrbucks so I'll probably be hunted down and scalped for writing this, but they really are nothing but a big scam.
I'm there for my $20 co-pay.
And the customers do suck.
And the pay sucks.
Oh yeah and I have 13 tattoos and I'm forced to wear turtlenecks in 80 degree weather so spoiled little middle school kids won't be influenced to maim their bodies every time they need a frappucino.
And my boss sexually harasses every female who works there.
Cheers. |

| I'm in charge of a big event at my daughter's local high school. I went into Starbucks and left a detailed written message with the assistant manager for forwarding to the "real" manager asking if they would consider putting a kiosk in our school for the big event. I was not asking them to do this at no charge; our hope was that they would give us a small percentage of everything they sold.
Well, no phone call back. So I called and left another detailed message. No phone call back. So I went in there again (with daughter no. 2 in tow), ordered a $3.00 cup of coffee for her and asked about my request. I was told someone would definitely call me by the end of the day.
Low and behold, I got a call as soon as I got in my car and turned out of the parking lot. Wow, they can work fast when they want to! Of course, the answer was sorry, we can't do it because we need more notice... uh, excuse me, but didn't I ask you guys over two weeks ago???
At any rate, when I (a 40-something mother of two) expressed to the clerk (a 20-something college dropout) that I didn't appreciate being told I didn't give them enough notice when that was my third attempt to get an answer from them, she proceeded to tell me how great Starbucks is and how well they treat their customers (do they brain-wash these young adults?... and I use the term adult very loosely!).
When I pointed out to her that the parents and their teenage kids are what keep them in business and that they ought to think about doing something for the community once in while, she proceeded to tell me that they had shipped a bunch of coffee to Iraq! While I'm thrilled that our soldiers now how a bunch of bitter Starbucks coffee to keep them alert while they are risking their lives, I didn't know that Iraq was part of the LOCAL community.
After a few minutes of point/counter-point over the phone, I finally told her I was not going to keep arguing with an idiot.
Well guess what? That's one way to get the manager to finally give you a call back. I feel so special now that I've gotten two, count 'em, two phone calls from Starbucks in one day!
I see where Ms. 20-something gets her brains (or lack thereof). Her manager is a bigger idiot than she is... she's got the perfect mentor!
We'll have to scramble to do something else for our big event, but Starbucks sees nothing unprofessional about not returning a personal visit and a phone call... it's all part of the snooty coffee house mystique!
Wonder how'll they keep hitting earnings targets when people finally wake up and "smell the coffee." |

| Dear R8drz,
I am a former "partner" of Starbucks, and let me just say to you that we are not "whining" about our jobs. We are simply discussing experiences we've had at work because someone else who works there is bound to have experienced the same thing. The reason for this is that there really are stupid people out there and they all seem to come to starbucks. The same stay-at-home-mom-with-nothing-better-to-do probably came into one store and asked for a "skinny machachachino" and then walked across the street to my store the same day. And unless you are on the other side of the counter, you could never understand or appreciate it when someone asks for a "veRti" latte. I left the company, but I did my share of whining while I was there and I will forever, because not only do the customers make you want to suffocate yourself, the managers are liars. Promises that are made to partners never happen, and this tends to piss us off.So, you are a "small business owner", so what! Is the business a coffee shop? No? Then your input is irrelevant. So, let us have our whiney website and back off. Don't like what you see? Then take your own advice and LEAVE. By the way, I'm 21,B**CH! |

| Shitbucks kills me everytime i walk by it so i must die a million times a day because they're everywhere. I like the feeling of being somewhere different when i go into a cafe as opposed to some generic green vomit stain. It's populated by customers who have seen celebs on the TV typing away on their I-books' and thought to thmselves " hmm...so that's how to be trendy"
i like going into a smoky italian cafe where the coffee comes in a proper cup, the waiter maybe mean but at least he hasn't got an artificial happy smile on his face and at least his roster hasn't been created by a machine; places like starbucks rape a street of its personality. i'ld love to see more streets that aren't infected with a rash of multinational mediocre bland offerings. The people who work in places like this care about a pay check and little else- their connection with the establishment ends there.
how can town X have a character if it has exactly the same shop fronts as towns Y and Z????? |

| I worked for Starbucks in downtown Boston for about 6 months before I got terrably ill. I was hospitalized and put on medical leave from Starbucks. Through this entire time I kept in contact with my boss, who assured me my job would still be waiting for me when I got out. I called him 3 days before I was to end my medical leave and he tell me I no longer have a job with the company due to being gone from work for such a long period of time. This is why I think Starbucks should go down. |

| Starbucks shareholders dinied addmission to annual meeting!
If you got your annual reoprt and saw that you needed to reserve your free tickets through ticketmast, no less, and you tried to reserve tickets as soon as you received your annual report, you soon found out that all the tickets were gone a long time ago. I thought it was a shareholders right to attend the annual meeting. They say there isn't enough room but Warren Buffett CEO of Berkshire Hathaway doesn't turn away any of his 17,000 shareholders and Disney doesn't turn away any of the 15,000 shareholders that want to attend. If I'm not wrong, one of the board of directors owns the seattle basketball team and would have inside connections for reserving the key arena. I'm wondering if there isn't a security and exchange commission rule that states all shareholders have the right to attend their companies annual meeting. And I thought Starbucks was a caring company. |

| First let me state that I dont even drink coffee. I simply hate Starbucks for their pervasiveness on society. I mean, there is one on damn near every street corner in Houston. I know of one area that has one across the street from each other and two more within 3 blocks. And people in Houston DONT WALK anywhere!
Also, whats with this quasi-new age language crap? My 8 yr old asked me for a venti pepsi the other day! COME ON! Sizes are small, medium and large! Universal. Quit forcing coffee-speak on the world! When tall equals small, there is a problem with society. Barista??? You mean coffee pourer? When did the schlub pouring a cup of coffee merit a designer name? Just because they charge six bucks for a cup, doesnt mean that I want to call them something cutesy. Grow up people, you pour coffee in a cup! Barista is as stupid as Domestic Engineer, or Landscape Custodian.
And now they sell music! I actually recieved a Christmas gift from a friend and they bought it at Starbucks! Friggin CD of coffeehouse music....
I hate them...and Starbucks too... |
