That sounds like borderline harassment and threats, as well.

You should be very careful what you post and allow to be said on your site. SBUX has lots of legal employess that spend all day looking up websites that are similar to yours. Some of the comments people have written are bordering harrasement and threats, this could put you in a bit of a tough spot. We definetly have enough $ to sue the heck out of anyone we want.

I've hated Starbucks for a long, long time. Since they opened at Astor Place in Manhattan, and the subsequent creeping though the East Village, obliterating many of my favorite hang-outs, and replacing them with crap. Friends and I have tried in vain to think of ways to foil them. The funniest idea we had was to secretly intercept all of their coffee imports and decaffeinate them... eventually, people would lose their addiction and realize that there are better things out there than expensive, bitter coffee. Now I am really worried about the rumors that SBUX may be coming to my current home, Moscow. Please, help us! How do we keep them out? Thoughts, suggestions appreciated.

Mmmmmmmmm, Jillian, powerful statement. Will you personally be starting this revolution? Sounds like you have a cunning well thought out agenda. And where would I sign up for this exciting activity?

Cataclysmman- a partner is an employee at Starbucks. A barista is an italian word for bar tender. DM stands for district manager. There are several good things aboutStarbucks but with every good thing does include bad. It is like having Luke Skywalker and not having Darth Vader. Sometimes, the customers have no idea or even a clue of what is going on around them. Most of them are self-centerd and impolite, at least at my store. My you suggest changing the system of how they determine how many employees are needed to run a store? It is just an idea. I think the company is ok, it is just the customers that come in are not very nice. Gots to go.

Starbucks has very lousy overpriced coffee. The regular coffee at the A M PM Stores is better

Cool website. Just one thing. Could somebody explain what a 'partner','barista', or DM's? And another question. Are the majority of the employees female? If there is one thing I can agree with, it is customers. I'm a waiter at a mexican restaurant and customers are dicks. They don't even consider that you might be a person who actually has feelings just like them. 'Kissing A**' is more important than employee morale. And our tips depend on how fake our smile is. I have had people complain that I didn't look happy and complained to the manager. What Bullsh**! When I'm in a food-service establishment, if anybody gives an employee a hard time, I won't settle for it. I'll bit** out the customer and I'll feel good about it. I also tip big, because I know I like big tips. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Good saying. Anyway, I would like a little more insight on Starbucks. I'm doing a report on it and have to write a section on what I would change. Personally, I'm a believer in employee morale. Thanks.

britelites-hey, are you a SBUX customer? I am currently an employee. I HATE IT!!! I am in it for the insurance but I don't think I can do it any longer. I am willing to help you on your journey to get the recipes. Any journey to help ruin Starbucks I am willing to help. ANYTHING! I think everyone should start black spotting their "local" Starbucks. It hasn't started happening yet. I think it would be so fun and make a statement.

Hey Me!! Thanks for the Kona update. One way to really see if it's real is by checking the size of the Kona beans. Kona beans are much larger than others, and they should be a lite to medium roast. Some roasters will do a dark medium, but you taste more of the roast and not the coffee. Next time, ask your manager what grade is the Kona. It starts as extra fancy, fancy, prime, grade a, grade b and so on. Yesterday, Sunday, I took the family to The Grove and Farmer's Market in Los Angeles. It was so nice that the orginal Farmer's Market has all the same food places that have been there for years and years. The nice about that is they are all locally owned businesses and no corporate businesses inside this larger food area. The unfortunate thing is on the outside, Howard and friends weaseled their way in facing Fairfax. The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf was also there, but at least they don't prostitute themselves as much as Starbucks, and their drinks are far more drinkable.

Slowly, but surely, SBUX is turning into the real Mc'Starbucks!!! Now we are serving even more "frapps"! More ice blended beverage drinks! In other words, SBUX is turning into an "ice cream shop"! What's next, cheeseburgers and fries with your coffee? Will SBUX ever sell jeans and shoes? Aspirin and Toothpaste? Make-up? Seems like it! Starbucks is going out of concept and context!!! And I have heard from an assistant store manager that they even sell "hot breakfast sandwiches" in some of the Seattle's SBUX stores! Mc'Starbucks! ;)

Hey competitor: i looked at the new kona package tonite and it is a part of their new "black apron series" of select hard to find coffees and the label says "100% Kona" no disclaimer. We only got it in 1/2lb bags.

Hey Janice, if your manager got behind the bar and knew how to make a cup of coffee and/or clean the machine they would know what the problem is. Failing that, leave a copy of the store cleanliness and maintenance manual on their desk.

Sigh...sadly, I too am a Starbucks "partner" and I indeed came to this site perhaps to refute the idea of an anti-Starbucks website, boy was I surprised. I got more of a laugh at the badly based insults directed at those who support the site! Spelling errors, grammer mistakes, and just plain retarded posts. Not good for the pro-Starbucks side, well done ladies and gentlemen. As for myself, I have taken full advantage of dental and vision benefits (not health yet, knock on wood). I have had no problem in the slightest receiving the hours needed to keep said benefits, but then again, doing a job and doing it well will help any scheduling requests I've found. And personally, it's just a job to pay the bills. As soon as I finish getting my degree I plan on leaving this inane job far in the past. Needless to say, I am aware that the faceless corporation I work for probably lies and cheats to establish such a foothold as it has on the world, but as long as people are too lazy to get out of their cars and too self-important to get off their cell phones so they can order an insanely priced cup of coffee in my drive through then I will continue to pump caffine directly into their systems in the form of $8 white mochas.

HEY HEY JANET!!!! I can sooo help with the leaky machine.... Please tell your manager to order rubber gaskets that go inside the group (thing you put portafilter handle in on the machine) tell the manager to order the smaller sized rubber gasket 6 or 7mm (it is in managers Roasting Plant Master Order Guide 'the book'). You have to remove the screen you'll see a screw remove that and peel off the screen. If you kneel down and look under inside the group you'll see a big metal plate with 2 hole in the middle and around that plate is a black thick rubber seal that dries out every 2-3 months. You have to poke it out with the ice pick(scratch awl) you should have 1 in your stores tool box, if not use a small thermometer you dont mind bending/ruining. Poke that baby out and carefully put the new gasket in, the Group will burn u when you are doing all off this so either someone with asbestos hands, or turn the machine off right after you close and wait till the groups cool. Then, reassemble (please Purocaff all of those screens and !do not lose the screws!). I hope this helps if not call the FAST desk and tell them the machine is broken and you need the service tech to 'service it' im sure that La Marzocco has 100,000 miles by now and if not- your wrists soon will..... and if its not that the screens inside the portafilter handles are split (inside on the bottom running around the little tiny holes). From too many years of tamping the bottom of those screens is literally being cut out. .
