Ok, a new day has dawned on IHateStarbucks.com.
I no longer want to keep hacking the old, tired php on the site, so this is what I propose. These messages will remain up for all eternity. In addition, there is a new Guest book. So if you want to share your opinons, i.e. post to the site, go here. As always, if wish to rant or rave, send me an email:

|If people are foolish enought to eat and drink all that junk food - they are responsible for themselves.

|I work @ Starbucks and it is so stupid. I am quitting to run my own coffee cart anyways. But its stupid when you make the Iced Tea or Iced Coffee and they have you shake it 10 times in the cup. Like the customer will taste if you shook it 5 times or 10 times. They lose so much money in throwing product away. It will taste the same if it is a day old. We throw away alot of chocolate, vanilla creme, coffee etc. I understand about freshness. But come on. How dumb is that.

|I called a Starbucks before and I asked the contents of a type of milk they carry and I was on hold for 2 minutes when told by a dumb manager "Its a cows milk that has not been injected with hormones" Well that did not tell me any info about the special milk. It just grossed me out. But, thats the supposedly the #1 coffee place that knows evertything.

|Oh, no, I was referring to this website. It should be accessible to anyone. The product info should be given to any lawyer-to-lawyer discussions. Yes, the employee intranet is useless.

I know a lot of people in this city and they have never heard of this website, including my attorney! I know it is accessible by anyone however, since my attorney did not know of this site, I wanted to know if you were OK with my sharing this information, otherwise I would keep it at this website and not say a word to him about it. I don't want to get anyone into trouble since this is a legal matter and I respect protecting privacy if at all possible. Whether you are a manager or working for this company in another capacity, I appreciate your helpful information. The coffee contents of that Utopia should have never blown out of the pot 5 feet in 3 directions of my kitchen under any circumstances giving me the thermal burns that I have incurred. I wouldn't own another one if it was the last make on Earth!!! And lastly, I have no warranty information on this thing as I never sent it in. I know of no warranties anywhere that would ever cover a coffee pot explosion - do you???? - so the warranties are useless.

The Company has an "Intranet" that is for employees only. So don't be surprise if you can not access the info you are looking for.

I don't understand your post. The website should be accessible to anyone.

|Starbucks may have benefits, but that's almost all they have to offer. I won't lie it's why I went back to $*. But all in all corporate is taking over and that just can not be allowed. I'm from the ATX (Austin, Texas). Here we support local businesses, not money hungry & greedy business suits.

Bless your heart for the information you provided to me. I do have an attorney who, I am sure, will handle this matter quite well as his main niche is product liability.
I will need your permission to share your message with my attorney. Please send me a posting giving me permission to share this information or to keep this information private.
Again, thank you for helping me.

|Ha, ha , ha...yes, I did call the hotline. It is suicide.

The Utopia is an identified "Product Alert" mechandise. All stores have been told to take them off of merchandise, mark them out, cut the cord at the base and dispose of them due to general safety issues. Whether or not a store does, is a different, legal issue. You may be able to ask Seattle to review their affidavits (they will not be able to show you these for legal reasons) for this and give you back a better informed answer. The responsibility is Starbucks'.

|you're right, education is power - i'm counting on you to take what you have learned from these posts and take action to make a positive difference. (just don't call the compliance hotline, you're termination paperwork will get processed before you hang up the phone.)

|managers in anguish?managers prey on others to satisfy their bonuses.we get ca's because by not taking our breaks we screwed the labor cost of the store.but we weren't able to take breaks because they short staffed the shifts to make bonus. if it's not the management and treatment of employees that cause a high turnover, what is it?what is the answer your expanded mind has to this question?

|Have never been an employee at Starbucks, but I have received an extensive thermal burn when the not quite two year-old Barista Utopia carafe blew out its contents five feet in every direction of my kitchen and scalded my face this past Monday.
Management in Seattle deny there has ever been a problem with this coffee maker - I disagree. My daughter also has the same coffee maker and hers has been in the closet because it has a electrical short.
Have any of you gracious people ever had any negative experiences with the coffee maker? I would appreciate any input and you need not give your names.
I have visited the Starbucks not 5 minutes from where I live - those people appear worked to near death!
Thanks so much.

|That is a very simplistic way to see things around you. Once you are the one who is discriminated and harrased you will change your mind.
I also used starbucks to pay my bills while going to school full time. Now, that is time for them to give me all my benefits I am entitled to, they are firing me. Why? not for the quality of my work but due to discrimination.
Average people don't care of what happends to others, they won't advocate for others, they will turn their backs on their partners who are being unfairly treated...yep, that's reality...but only people like that will step forward to say "that sbux has it\'s pros and it\'s cons. I mean it\'s not the best... ". Wait till you get screwed, you'll change your mind.

|Well after reading about an hour worth of these posts on my first visit to this site I guess I\'ll say a little something about the company. I\'ve been working for the company for over a year and, of course, sbux has it\'s pros and it\'s cons. I mean it\'s not the best place to work for, but not the worst either. They do give you a lot of options with student loans, benefits, stock etc. all which most companies would laugh at if you mentioned it. I do agree with a lot of posts about management discriminations on partners and a lack of respect, but then again don\'t expect anything less from any manager any place else! To be honest with everyone you have to step on a few toes to get ahead of the line. Plain and simple it\'s the way things work. If you want to make SBUX your occupation they\'re huge on that and speaking to the right people can get your advanced, but if you\'re not as narrow minded as those people you can take this company, as I have, as a stepping stone for bigger better things. Learn through their business aspects and expand from that! Why else do you see a SBUX on every corner? Cause they\'re doing that bad financially? It\'s part of Corporate America people and you\'ve dealt with it your entire lives with McDonalds, Blockbuster, etc.. I don\'t plan to be a partner my entire life, but for the time being it pays my rent and utilities while I go to college and pursue my dream. I think it\'s pretty ridiculous to flat out say you hate the company without stating any information about your reason. It\'s absurd! I\'ve never met anyone who said they really loved their job and it\'s oh\' so perfect there. BULLSH**, no one is ever satisfied with anything and believe me the same problems you might have with SBUX probably applies to hundreds of other companies that share the same business structure. Again, it\'s not the best company and not the worst. Turn over rate in SBUX is among the highest I\'ve ever seen and truthfully I do believe sometimes management can be a part of that. Some managers are snakes and prey on others to satisfy perhaps anguish they carry inside themselves, but then again how do you think they got there? Douche bags. Education is power people. Learn and expand.

|Your site is great...it's nice to see people taking a stand against the corporate giants who sell their generic CRAP in a fancy package.
The "one on every corner" philosophy is nice and all...but then the world becomes as generic as their coffee.
Keep on posting and don't listen to the people who have nothing better to do then tell you the site is bad.

|Everyone, please dont order a cream frappuccino. your probably getting the scum that forms on the top of the base when it sits for dayz. Yumm--Expensive Butt CHeeze.
By the way..when you see little flying flies behind the bar--they are nesting in every crevace when the sweet syrup has splashed and not been cleaned up. These flies can lay up to 100 eggs per every two weeks. So check in your cup before you sip. Oh yeah, and ask to put the lid on yourself. It's starbucks policy to hand you a drink with the lid on, but you can threaten to sue for not preparing something you purchased the way you want. Bring this to your grave HOWARD..

|I hate Starbucks because I spend 8 hours a day making sure paychecks get deposited in the bank accounts of the ungrateful Starbuck employees who hate Starbucks and steal from us.

|Why do the airheads behind the counter flirt with every man that walks into the store????????? This bimbo flirted with my boyfriend right in front of me, then made my drink WRONG!!!!!!! So I have decided never to go the Starpucks again. I tried again this morning with my co-workers and again the drink was bitter and WRONG.
