Ok, a new day has dawned on IHateStarbucks.com.
I no longer want to keep hacking the old, tired php on the site, so this is what I propose. These messages will remain up for all eternity. In addition, there is a new Guest book. So if you want to share your opinons, i.e. post to the site, go here. As always, if wish to rant or rave, send me an email:

| Shift King - i still don't understand the way they work the labour hours out anyway; our new manager just scheduled a rota for sunday that had 3 people on ALL DAY! we've mentioned that we either need more than 2 people on an open or longer than 30 minutes to set up and he just mumbles something about the labour percentage. is it fair that we only get 30 minutes to put away deliveries, set up the espresso machine and pastry case, put out the outside tables etc etc and *then* get bitched at that it's not all done? sometimes i wonder if the people who get to management ever worked the floor... |

| And I am....TADA! neutral man. Which makes me a contradiction, since I don't care enough about that green logo to take a political stance, but I do seem to care enough to post on this lil' site. Which is a bit alarming, in that it seems to be a place in which starbucks lovers and haters alike can hop on and post their one-sided views, poorly articulated and with laughable grammar. Perhaps we've found a new topic for people to ignorantly scream self-righteous ridiculousness about? I can see it now...Starbucks is right up there with abortion and gun control in the realm of exausted, stupid, stalmated topics for discussion. |

| my theory is that starbucks is slowly taking over the world. What ever happened to people that aren't complete corporate idiot whores. And to all the starbucks lovers, you need to get a clue. And i guess that someone making a site for what tehy believe in constitutes having no life. Who has more of a life, a socially aware person trying to make a difference, or a whore to the media and someone that will buy everything with a label on it thrown to them? If having a life is tottally ignoring everything wrong with corporate America and being an blissfully ignorant person, then i guess i have no life. |

| Starbucks is so crazy. I do like the atmosphere though. I am going to work on my senior thesis all the time in there drinking lattes by the gallon. Too bad they don't always have chocolate cake. |

| I am a starbucks partner and it seems so stupid how other employees find this job even remotely labor-intensive. I work in the most frequented store in my district and it is a piece-of-cake. Perhaps, the complaisant-b*tches are not our patrons, but instead some of our childish partners who don't even know what a real blue-collar jod is like. |

| 24 hours White Mocha? That's going to SUCK. What state do you work in, I've never heard of a 24-hour store. Yeah, we're pullin in like 3.5k from Thurs-Sun. now, and my manager is all delighted b/c he's cutting labor. Direct quote from him: "Remember how we blew budget so much and the sales weren't there? Now the sales are rolling in, and I'm slashing budget. It's GREAT!"
Yeah...wonder how great he'd think it was if he EVER worked the floor with less than 4 people on! But no...that's why he has me. To throw me on the floor with 1-2 other people and a line to the door constantly for three hours. |

| No matter how you put it, Starbuck's Coffee Co. is a steaming heap of elephant dung. I, too, worked for the devil at one time... and I can't say it was pleasant. It was rather more a joke. I am proud to say that I attended the World Trade Organization riots in Seattle, WA, and was there when bricks were thrown through the windows of a Starbuck's and neighboring McDonald's. Finally someone did something to make a statement, even if small. |

| now lets take a second and breathe!!! I will admit that sbux is an ok company to work for, considering our overall benefits. But, with as much as we put in really should be as much as take out. See, for instince, I know people who have worked for the company for years. For sooooo long that they have reached the salary cap. This is cuz they are soo unmotivated to get promoted that they just stay still. Then y do they fill that they no longer need to work, just cuz all the customers know their name, or cuz other partners call them momma/ pappa bear? B.S. I have worked for the company for 4 yrs. have had 2 outstanding reviews, and all the rest supperior, yet I have never recieved a raise of more than 2%. You know what never mind, This is not what this site is about. . . . . u guys don't need to hear me complain. |

| LOL!!! I love u shift king, we should meet!! But. . . as for u jj u must be a starbucks management mole sent to "spread the word" about the starbucks propaganda. Starbucks is the 4 biggest ass raper of the corprate world. They foumd the best product to exploit for their capitalist desire. My friend Judy Um**a works with her family at a processing station for the beans being shipped from South America. 200 lbs of coffee for under $30. packaging cost 27 cents, shipping would cost a terrerific price if sbux didn't have it's own transportation.
My store alone makes 2,300 on Fraps on weekdays. We average $4000 on thurs. - Sund. and at the beginning of next year we are goin 24 hr. Now their are stores that make plenty more then mine. But, never have I heard of a sbux that makes. . . . what did u say $.13 on the dollar. LOL I also worked at the slowest corprate owned starbucks in so cal where we made an average of $.35. that pricing manual that u say is ten years old is wrong. My uncle worked of the last one for the year 2000. Cuz if it was wrong that would be a tax liabilty, making it very possibly, if what u say is true, that sbux will be the next ENRON. Learn about starbux history, Howard is not stoopid, he is jewish. He knows how to save a buck and make a buck. and do the math too jj, it cost starbucks all of $.73 to make a Grande Caramel Macchiato. while it costs us $3.45 to purchase it. |

| There is a new indy coffee place in my area - the service is good, the people are nice, and most importanty, the coffee is very good! Every day I see more and more local people discovering it - ahhhh - respite from the corporate juggernaut! I don't know the owner, don't have an interest in this local place, but am proud to support, and encourage others to support the local indy shops in their communities. |

| Ha! This site rocks! I especially liked reading your response to the "at least in America you can get a cup of coffee" person; it's sad that people are so ignorant. I volunteer with OXFAM, and we're doing a major Fair Trade Coffee campaign right now. On your $ 1. 50 cup of coffee at the Evil Company that Shall Not be Named, the farmer makes about 2 cents (that's less than half of what it costs them to produce it), and hundreds of thousands are starving because of it. Check out www.oxfam.ca for info. Great site, keep it up! |

| Daniel--a nervous barista charged the firefighter because he wasn't sure what was going on or what to do on that hectic day. I was twenty blocks from the towers when the first plane hit and it was pandemonium the rest of the day---imagine only being 3 blocks and not knowing what to do.
we also busted our asses with the relief effort and raised quite abit of money in our store alone. |

| Not only they have the nerve to charge 5 bucks for a cup of coffee that doesn't cost them more than 5 cents to make. On Sept. 11 a Starbucks a few blocks from the Twin Towers charged firefighters $130 for water. You can go to this following link for more information.

Like if that wasn't enough. Howard Schultz, CEO of Starbucks supports the retaliation actions against suicide bombers in Israel. These "retaliations" which are nothing but revenge acts of terrorism have taken the lifes of Palestianian women and children, rather than from those responsible for terrorism. |
