I recently stopped at a new Starbucks I ordered a coffee for myself and a cappuccino for my wife.I also ordered an apple juice for my 7 year old daughter and a steamed apple cider for my 11 year old daughter. To my amazement they poured both the apple cider and apple juice >From the same bottle of Tree Top Apple Juice. I said that is not apple cider that is apple juice and the girl behind the counter said "but we put cinnamon in it" Putting cinnamon in apple juice does not make it apple cider! If you are going to serve hot apple juice with cinnamon in it, Then say on the menu "hot apple juice with cinnamon in it" If you are going to serve steamed apple cider you better find out what Apple cider is. WORDS HAVE MEANING I would suggest a free tour of your local cider mill. Like you can't find one in Washington state (ha ha) The coffee is always . . . OK (at best) but be truthful about what you say and sell

I could go on and on about third world atrocities, harsh employee surveilence, over-priced coffee, tacky psuedo-hipster atmosphere, but I won\'t. all i have to say is.................. Support local business...

Those interested in the evil strategies of Starbucks (treatment of employees, branding, clustering stores...) and other corporations should check out the book NO LOGO, by Naomi Klein.

Why would you want to go pay too much for something that doesn\'t even taste that good???? I like coffee, but I like it fresh. Although I do admit i like the mocha valencia..... As for the coffee.... go support your local coffee shop.

Ok altgrr: \"Look at their name: it\'s more than a clue as to what they want to achieve: money.\" The name actually has nothing to with money. The name of Starbucks comes from the first mate of Captain Ahab in the Moby Dick story. Secondly \"Starbucks just want to get the competition out so that they can impose their espresso or latte or whatever on people who want good coffee.\" People don\'t have to buy Espresso\'s or latté\'s they have a choice of coffee\'s including Filter Coffee. And all you people who moan about the price of coffee, the reason for that is because the care that is spent in the growing of the beans, the roasting of the beans, the creation of the drinks and the understanding and helpfulness of the staff that serve you your drink. Starbucks is both a great place to work and before I worked there I always enjoyed having a cup of Cafe Mocha every day.

I ordered $250 worth of Starbucks merchandise on-line to give away as Christmas gifts to various people. For some reason their website didn\'t complete my order even though they had temporarily charged my credit cards. I wrote to them asking about my order and they said they had no such record. Why temporarily charge my credit cards then? They wrote to me and asked me to describe what kind of \"errors\" I was receiving on their website which I then described to them -- their website is truly messed up just like them. You\'d think that they would have wanted to please their customers knowing I was spending a few hundred on their stupid merchandise, but after I described my problems they never contacted me thereafter. They had gotten what they wanted but left me out in the cold. No apologies, no sincerity, just a \"What kind of error did you get?\" (That is all.) I am so disgusted by my treatment that I have decided that giving Starbucks gift cards away wasn\'t in the Holiday spirit and therefore I will no longer purchase anything from them and will tell everyone I know about the evil that is Starbucks.

Starbucks is sugar coated 7-eleven coffee with fancy cups. Over priced, corny music, and weird baristas. Do you have to announce my order to the world? I can tell you where to shove that non-whip-decaf-extra-hot-latte. I can\'t blame the people who drink the coffee for they are just lemmings, I compare them to all those people who constantly shop at the GAP. Don\'t hate the player, hate the game!

Well, to graduate to the special section you have to be either witty or inbred, not just stupid.

Dont expect to see this here or your special section. Just like most Starbucks employees you have no balls. You have got to be the biggest puss I have ever encountered. Not seeing this posted proves my point!

My wife stacy loves McDonalds coffee, here skinny blone ass drinks it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I usally wake up in the morning by yellin at my crew, which is a slew of high school kids, who can\'t make a burger as fast as I can, I wonder where they will be in 10 years. I always make sure the frys are hot, at least I try, but Bob my boss is usually all in my ass about a 15 yr old drinking on front counter. Anyhow, I am 30, never went to college, and now I currently work for McDonalds, my life is great, I love going to work there and serving fast food, and working 6 days out of the week in what I call an office.

I usually go to the Starbucks in Exchange Square One to get my morning coffee and breakfast (simply because it\'s next to my office). Problem is: THEY CAN NEVER GET MY BAGELS RIGHT!!! Either, they give me the wrong kind of bage, or they burnt the bage, sometimes they\'d would give me a knife without cream cheese, sometimes the other way aroung!!!!!!

How mature is it to bash a successfull company? If you have such a problem with it, why don\'t you just look the other way. There are plenty of other places for you to go. Its not like the only public place is in a Starbucks. If you don\'t want to go buy a \"$5.00 cup of coffee\" then go to 7-11. Not that hard.

Ass-Fucking queer.... lol There are many people that have things come to them in very easy ways. I don\'t hate those people and there are of those that put that to good use... BUTTTT!!! When I see the overdressed in Abercrombie Nazi\'s coming in and giving me the most horrible attitude about just getting a freacking FRAPPUCCINO!!! fuck that... that tottaly ruins my day. I decided to take ACTION blehehaha... I went in the back and i Pissed in your FRAPPUCCINO!!!! MUAJAJAJA!!!! That\'s right kiddies pee-pee drip-drop! lol :-) Aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight PEACE!!! Okay so someone tell me why sb insists on charging $1 more for an adult hot chocolate than for a kids hot chocolate. I am so anti sb and I let a friend talk me into it one day so I decided to do the hot chocolate thing. I order my kiddie hot chocolate and the moron behind the counter tells me I cant have one. What?!?!?!? You have to have an adult one. The difference I ask???? sb employee \"they are the same size, but we make the adult one hotter\" so you are going to charge me a dollar extra for additional hot steam?? what the %%$#**!! is up with that? NO MORE!!!!!! Just dont go there! Matilda

wow, i came for the site name, but i will definetly be staying for the brilliant blurbs put forth by \"people\" defending a corporation with a clear record of undermining local small buisiness, with all due respect folks, it has nothing to do with hating coffee, and everthing to do with understanding how institutions around you effect your life, (and lots of other people\'s too ) next time your wired on some S.B. java, channel that buzz into doing some research, you just may learn something, see you at wall-mart.......

I live in Chicago, and let me just tell you that you cannot walk 2 blocks without seeing a Starbucks. It\'s unbelievable. I live about 1/2 hour north of the city... nice quaint neighborhood with really really nice, original, family owned, coffee houses with great decor & ambiance. There is now a Starbucks on one of the corners. I will not go there. I will never go there. I used to drink their coffee nonstop. It was so easy to walk in, order and go.. it was convenient. Now? No. They are driving the mom & pop coffee houses out of business and that is reason enough for me to never drink their coffee again. Sure, it\'s good, but you know what? It\'s coffee. You can get just as good, if not better, at a small coffee shop, and you\'ll get better service and the person taking your order will smile, say thank you, and ask that you come back again. My question is.. what\'s going to happen to all of the fancy light fixtures and couches in these Starbucks when they go under? I say a big fat bon fire.
