Ok, a new day has dawned on IHateStarbucks.com.
I no longer want to keep hacking the old, tired php on the site, so this is what I propose. These messages will remain up for all eternity. In addition, there is a new Guest book. So if you want to share your opinons, i.e. post to the site, go here. As always, if wish to rant or rave, send me an email:

| For those former Starbuck customers looking for Valentia syrup......I just Googled Orange coffee syrup and a bunch of sources came up so there is other sources for the Valentia syrup. There is also the hard stuff....orange liqour for the winter days coming shortly. That makes a great warmer upper after walking in the snow from the train station after work. Just wanted to show that we can survive without Starbucks!!! |

| Hi everyone!
I am a student from Austria and for my own shame I have to say that I worked for SB too (well, I am a student, what else should I say?!)
Those who worked for that company know what it really means: THAT BRAINWASHING is not to compair with anything else!!
First I thought "ok, maybe it has to be like that?!" 'cause nobody else (of these so called "partners") has said a word
against their programme, but soon I figured out that they live in their own world, like Lemmings, following EVERY STUPID order! It wasn't fun to work with such people at all, but I learned from that! Now I am wiser!
At last I have to say that I am glad I found this web side --> I ADORE it!
Furthermore I am glad to find here the opposite of the starbucks-philosophy: people who use their brains and speak out free what is in their opinion!
THANK YOU! |

| By the way, 7-11 coffee is much better and priced right. You all need to know that Starbucks is a company with a political agenda. They support Israel and would want them to kill more innocent children in the Middle East.Do your own research!! A jew will do anything to achieve their goal, they are blood suckers. |

| Don't ever ever ever work at starbucks. They'll just try to brainwash you with this THIRD PLACE sh*t and it sucks. But if you're stuck working there, NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER, there are other people out there who work there and don't believe in their crock of sh*t. |

| I have become disappointed with StarBucks. I understand that some coffee coinoisseurs have boycotted SB. I have joined that boycott group. as everyone may have found out about the hoax ad to bring in potential customers for a free grande,...well, i was one, and my stupid ass bought one after they told me that they were not honoring the coupon. i feel like a donkey's ass. Anyway, i will no longer take my coffee-fix bizniz to SB. I will give my patronage to Caribou and Seattle's Best, and persuade my friends and family and partners and co-workers and others to follow my lead.
Thanks |

| I love good coffee. If in fact I end up in a Starbucks for just a plain ol' cup o joe, I say "medium black coffee, please." The answer is always the same! "Room for cream?" I say "Well it wouldn't be black coffee then would it?" Now I'm a jerk because if I had spoken to them in 'Starbuckian' they would have understood. I refuse to speak the language. That was $0.05 worth I know! Licorice Pizza |

| I have just complained to Starbucks in the UK because one of their crappy stores refused to serve me a mug of hot water to warm up my baby's milk. I wish I hadn't now, as it seems from your website that they will use this to give the poor bastard "partner" a good kicking. To be fair to him, he seemed thoroughly pissed off with the situation.
PS _ If anyone has been to London recently, can they tell me if Starbucks is breeding? There seems to be a store every few feet. |

| I sing for a choir that is supported by its country's broadcasting corporation. At rehearsals last night we discovered the new canteen is serving Starbucks Coffee. I'm shocked and appalled and I'm putting together a petition against this. Does anyone know five convincing reasons why Starbucks Coffee should not be served? Thanks! |

| I HATE STARBUCKS, TOO! Actually, after I figured out that I didn't particularly care for their coffee, I quit going. Eventually, I quit thinking about it. Coffee is coffee. It's a bean that is dried and ground into a coarse powder through which water is filtered producing a dark tasty liquid. Something else I hate...coffee snobs. Take your high-and-mighty holier-than-thou "coffee is a state of mind" attitudes and lock yourself in your local indie coffee house/hippie sanctuary and sing "Kum Ba Ya" until the weed wears off. |

Go to a real coffeehouse, that serves real fresh roasted coffee without the bitter aftertaste of SB.

| Johnny, great words and well put. I think most people complain about larger corporations these days is because it has reached and surpassed a fair balance in our communities of small and big business. Instead of having choices or lack of choices, the public has been forced to comply and/or compromise via the leverage of corporations (ie: Starbuck's) whom have put out small business by overexploitation of their brand. Besides going to see friends or family in other cities, there is nothing different about traveling. It's the same everywhere all at the expense of culture and diversity. Everytime I see a new shopping center open, I cringe at what is going to be there rather than look forward to something new that may come along. Look around at any given shopping center and notice the usual suspects, Starbuck's, Subway, McDonald's, Best Buy, WalMart and whatever else you can think of. We are truly living in a homogenized society. I bet if I went to Afghanistan, though I may get kidnapped, I would probably find some interesting cusine that is more than likely better than what we have to choose here. If anything, it encourages me to cook at home, save a few bucks and eat much better. |

| hey everyone,
i would just like to say i agree with you, i worked for the horrible company for a while(until now!! i quit last week!!:) & believe me, of all the time i've been there, that was by far the most enjoyable moment i can remember! this company treats their workers like crap. part of their lame motto type thing is "treat each other with respect & dignity" i've never come across such a load of crap in all my life, they do the complete opposite i swear they employ people they know will specifically piss others off & cause problems! they just suck in general. i would say alot more but i think with all the crap i want to say we'd end up with a book on here & it would get boring. so i'll leave it with to hell with starbucks & their double decaf soy lattes or whatever. hope your all having fun people :)

| I just drove by my favorite little coffeehouse and saw a new Starbucks that's going in right across the street. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to address this? I will stand in front of it with flyers telling people why they shouldn't patronize Starbucks if I have to. Are we organized? Help!? |

| i HATE starbucks too. Their espresso tastes burnt and it's really not worth the price. I rather drink gas station coffee. The reason why people buy that crap is because of the status of the buisness. Yeah holding that starbucks cup makes you look important! People are so silly! I used to work there and they are all brain washed crack heads!
Oh yeah and dont get me started on the fat regulars who order venti frappuccinos. |

| I read some of the Pro-Starbucks messages on your site and I would like to respond to a couple of them.
First of all for everyone who said that they are tired of people who complain about big corperations I say this. Thats because alot of people who run those big business's get to be that size by breaking international law and by violating worker's rights in developing countries. Star bucks is one of those companies. They destroy whole village's so they can plant their coffee, and it doesn't have to be this way. The worlds BEST coffee is shade grown coffee, shade grown as in grown amongst the tree's. The only reason Starbucks doesn't use this and thus save the rainforest is because their lawyers have done the maht and have figured out that the cost-benefit ratio is going to be more in their favour if they hack down forests.
(This also address's the person who said that the reason Starbucks "Made it" is because it's a great place to get cup of coffee. The ACTUAL reason they made it is by exploiting our world's natural resources and inhabitants.)
Also may I add that they advertising branch of the Starbucks company then takes picures of the part of South America they haven't destroyed and uses that picture to sell their coffee. The irony is pathetic.
On a different note I do think that too many people ocmplain about corperations without knowing what is wrong. It seems to be the hip thing to do nowaday's, it's "alternative", and in a way thats hurting the left wing movement. When we have people post comments that are against the large corperations but the post's are uninteligeble and uninformed it makes people view the movement as one of idiots.
Well those are my thoughts on that subject, thank you for taking the time to read my post.

| Hi. I work at Starbucks. Help me. Please.
It's so disgusting and fake and OH the amount of money they spend on brainwashing the employees... do you even know? We have to take classes on how awesome Starbucks is and how they're so great to the community and environment and that's all they care about. I actually believed it all at first. My mother came in one day and met the District Manager.. my mom said "Oh, I'm just addicted to the mocha fappuccinos!" and the DM said in response "Great! I love addictions. :shifty eyes:" .. No joke. And by the way, working there just plain sucks and I get paid nothing.. but I haven't had any luck finding another job. :( |
