I Hate Starbucks.

I have been getting a LOT of personal attacks lately. I think by shareholders who know which side their bread is buttered on. Or their butter is buttered on.

Let me just clear up a few things for them.

• Accusation: I am jealous of Starbucks' success.
  I am not "jealous" of Starbucks' success. I would never have an idea that devious or culturally destructive nor would I be proud of it. Actually, even the CEO of Starbucks said I was just "jealous". That is moronic and insulting. According to their pop psychology; I don't hate Starbucks, I hate myself for not being successful. The entire argument is based on an ad hominem fallacy. Another example of this argument would be if you questioned the enormous budget deficit and then you were called unpatriotic because of this.

• Accusation: I am poor.
  I don't really understand the relevance, but how much money I have, or don't have, shouldn't really make a difference. But if I was going to try and pigeonhole me, since I don't spend 4 dollars a day on lousy coffee, I would lean toward rich.
  
  
• Accusation: I am a "liberal".
  I love this one. Nothing telegraphs your mental punches like calling someone a liberal, it's even better if you can spit the word at someone. What does that mean anyway? What is this liberal?(*patooey*) I looked it up in the dictionary, and it didn't seem like such a bad thing. In fact the only one that I could find that seemed remotely sharp or biting was obsolete. I like this "liberal" definition the best.

  c : a political philosophy based on belief in progress, the essential goodness of the human race, and the autonomy of the individual and standing for the protection of political and civil liberties

  Guilty as charged.

  Accusation: I am a "looser".
  Maybe. Although nothing makes you lose credibility faster than misspelling the word "loser".

• Accusation: My website sucks (in terms of design and development).
• Guilty again. I don't dedicate any time to this site. The content is given to me by other people so I don't have to work on it. I never intended to make this site a showpiece of my talents in web design.

  Accusation: I have no life.
• If I had no life, wouldn't my site be better?
